I have a question re: new impeachment hearings

I read that Nancy Pelosi may use a new round of impeachment hearings to delay or derail the SCOTUS nomination, claiming this will "tie up the Senate".

My question is how does she think this will tie up the Senate? Don't they do as they please? Couldn't Mitch, after refusing witnesses in the last hearing, just proclaim this political and leave it on his desk as he has all legislation since 2008?

I fucking hate that it's no longer hyperbolic to assume the Senate Majority Leader will just continue to bypass norms but in a more dramatic and escalated way.

My wild ass guess is that after Lafayette Square, the military is refusing to do Trump's bidding in America cities. This is why he had to go the hired mercenary route.

Drive through testing

Maybe when we're on the other side of this nightmare we can start drive through propaganda testing.

People can pull up, be asked a few basic civic and news related questions to determine if they've been propagandized. They can be sent for immediate decontamination and critical thinking classes.
