My wife is watching A Face in the Crowd on TCM right now and that movie gave my wife a new

respect for Andy Griffith as an actor. She personally believes that this was his best work and wondered why he never did a movie like that again.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/04/07/star-trek-actress-lends-her-gravitas-to-film-promoting-idea-that-sun-revolves-around-earth/

A new documentary film, narrated by a former Star Trek actress, promotes the long-ago disproven idea that the sun revolves around the Earth.

“Everything we think we know about our universe is wrong,” says actress Kate Mulgrew as she narrates the trailer for “The Principle.”

The film, which is set to be released sometime this spring, was bankrolled in part by the ultra-conservative and anti-Semitic Robert Sungenis, who maintains the blog “Galileo Was Wrong.”

It amazes my wife how someone who worked on a show as progressive and forward thinking as Star Trek is/was that you can do something like this documentary...

Prepare to scratch your head on this one.

Detroit resident Arthur Williams has been presented with a real puzzler. Why, after paying $1,100 to have his stolen car returned to him from an impound lot, did police come and take it away only 15 minutes later? Mr. Williams, who documented the incident with his cell phone camera, brought the story to WJBK FOX 2 News.

UPS fires 250 employees for staging a 90-minute protest to defend co-worker

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ups-fires-250-employees-staging-143805147.html

UPS is firing 250 Queens, N.Y., drivers for walking off the job during a 90-minute protest in February.

The company dismissed 20 of the workers after their shifts Monday and issued notices of termination to another 230 employees, notifying them that they will be fired once the company has trained their replacements, UPS spokesman Steve Gaut told Business Insider.

The workers were protesting the dismissal of longtime employee and union activist Jairo Reyes, who was fired over an hours dispute, according to Gaut. The New York Daily News first reported on the firings.

Stand Your Ground Is About To Get Even Worse In Florida

http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2014/04/03/3422782/florida-passes-stand-your-ground-expansion/

Attempts to roll back any of the Florida Stand Your Ground law’s most incendiary elements have foundered more than two years after the death of Trayvon Martin. But a bill to expand the law passed Thursday, mere months after it was introduced.

The National Rifle Association-backed bill would expand Stand Your Ground-like protections to those who point a gun at an attacker or fire a gun as a self-defense threat or warning, expanding the scope of the discretion judges and juries retain to exempt shooters from criminal charges for gun violence. The final bill also includes a provision to keep Stand Your Ground records secret.

American "News" channels SUCK! All of them. Try BBCW (BBC World News)

My wife and I have been sick of what passes as news in this country.

My wife has fallen in love with the way they actually cover a wide range of news.

We are sick of Propaganda channel (FAUX)

We are tired of the ALL AIRLINE CHANNEL (CNN)

Even MSNBC is getting one sided.

Does anyone know there was an Earthquake near the coast of Panama?

Wealth Inequality Is Now As Bad As It Was During The 1920s

http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2014/03/31/3420998/wealth-inequality/

Most people know about income inequality: the gap in earnings between the 1 percent and the rest of us that has been growing steadily since the 1970s.

But there is also growing inequality when it comes to wealth — not just income, but a household’s total assets, such as savings, value stored in a house, pensions, or other sources of money, minus anything it owes. The difference between wealth held by the top 1 percent and the rest of us has climbed back up to levels not seen since the roaring 20s, according to new preliminary research from economists Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman:

Must see Graphs. On a serious note I am sick and tired of it. I am tired of my wife is working in a field that should be respected and she can't get vacation or sick time.

I am sick and tired of 10 cent raises. I don't think it is too much to ask for some that most Western countries have. 35 to 40 hour work week vacation and sick time (PAID sick time) and still have enough money to live comfortable with at least 2 weeks of vacation a year.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_minimum_wages_by_country

We should all be ashamed as Americans that we have allowed Corporations and 1%ers do this to our fellow citizens.

I edit this to add this link to a chart that will really make some people think. THE AVERAGE MONTHLY WAGE IN OTHER COUNTRIES THIS IS IN U.S. DOLLARS.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states_in_Europe_by_net_average_wage

Keep in mind that the western countries like Canada and England people's wages are NOT going to health insurance or co-pays BECAUSE their taxes pay for that. WHICH means MORE income to pay bills buy food and HAVE FUN.

Well, my wife shocked me today. She has finished Federal Grand Jury Duty and she said she has

lost faith not only the "Two party system" and basically believes the country is ran by the 1% BUT until jury duty she believed the justice system may have had it's flaws BUT it was the one part of the constitution that for the most part acted as it should.

However after her 18 months she basically said she has lost faith in all parts of our system and her fellow citizens. She found some of her fellow jurors arrogant will others mindless automatons. "If the government has bought charges than they must be guilty." as she remembers overhearing one juror saying to another.

I don't know if I should let her calm down from the stressful situation or what but before I become judge mental of her I do find myself sharing some of her views at time but then I remind myself there are so many people in the country that there is more good and smart people in the country and one say they will make it better.

I don't know if there is anything really to say only that it is something preying on my mind and needed to vent it.

My wife and I don't want to sound rude or anything but we want to be respectful to my grandmother's

memory and my father's mourning BUT the idea of getting the chance to move back to my home town is exciting me and my wife is really excited of getting out of the town she has been feeling trapped in for the past 6 years.

My father said the money I will inherit will give us a chance to get a house but we will have to wait a few months for the money.

Is it insensitive for us to want to start job hunting immediately?

A friend of my wife's has sent her suggestion of houses for us to consider and I think my wife found one she might have fallen in love with ( yes it will need to be fix up.)

Granted this is all new territory and I'm sure my dad and Step mom will walk us through this ( at least I am thinking)

BUT should we wait until the money clears look for the house and jobs at the same time Or is it okay to start looking now? Ideally I would like to be back in my home town and settled by the end of summer.

Is that a realistic goal or do I need to get my dead out of the clouds?

Yes, my wife and I would be property virgins. Yes, to some these might seem stupid questions but these are real and somewhat nervous steps for us.
