Thanks - excellent example of misinformation

I will use this in many future discussions.

I am so disapointed in how many people lie.

The politicians just say it's politics. I say it's propaganda amd it's dishonest.
We should at least, expect that our government leaders will give us the truth
so we can elect our leaders and make decisions about the future. there seem to be
very few honorable people anymore.

Our society really disapoints me.

Hey, keep up the fight!

As always - Stupid people misquoting....

Sanitorium said, “To say that people of faith have no role in the public square?

That's not what Kennedy said.

The idea is that you can have all the religion you want and that makes you
feel and think in certain ways and your ideals will make you vote a certain way.
You are allowed to support whatever you like as far as law and policy.

Just don't spew out some verse from the bible or Koran or Holy scripture
in order to support your views.

I don't think we should have a law that says you should bathe in the river because you are unclean.
and
what about the Jews? Do they get to pass laws that say no one can eat pork?
and the Jews don't stand there and try to pass laws based on the old testament.

Therefore: Having Sanitorium propose laws that limit insurance coverage to all
American people is moronic. You provide full insurance coverage to all people
and the one's who don't believe in abortion and birth control will not take advantage
of that part of the coverage.

I know I am preaching to the choir but I have never heard anyone support full
insurance coverage using this argument and I feel the need get it out there
so others may use it if they want to.

So the FCC accepts propaganda as O.K.

Do we have a minister of propaganda assigned yet?

Where is the oversight?

You know how to save money?
We get rid of all the oversight committees because they don't do their jobs anyway!
That ought to save us billions!

Maybe they don't like others doing what they deny themselves

First they say that conservative people like rules and regulations.

But I think they have a desire to make a choice every now and then. So, they are tempted. But they would feel guilty.

Then, they see others stepping outside the boundaries and
they want to participate more and more. But, they would feel quilty.

So, they have to stop the others from stepping outside so they don't feel badly and aren't tempted.

Sanitorium has a child with a genetic disorder. Maybe misery loves company and he wants others to be in the same boat.
Not only does he want to stop abortions. I would bet he would force everyone to be Catholic, too.

Just a thought.

Neverless, the bottom line is that he's a pain in the ass.

I don't force others to do all the fun things I do in my life.
I don't expect them to tell me I have to participate in their misery.

People need to be very frightened - we joke now...

We took my mother to be checked and the doctor said she had "mild" Alzheimer's.
This was at a point when we were trying to decide whether it was safe for her to live alone.
This shows the urgency the medical profession has for this desease.

At work we all would joke about having senior moments when we forgot what we were
trying to say - these people are in their late 40's and early 50's

I asked my optometrist if he had a test to detect B-amyloids in the eye and he said it was still experimental. So, my mother-in-law was going to get cataracts removed and I had her ask - they said the same thing - still experimental.

this month's Reader's Digest has a Dr. saying not to worry to a 50 year old about forgetting where they parked the car - He said "It's normal".

We need to protest this thinking by our medical profession and get them moving on preventitive care instead of accepting the fact that people start to forget in their 40's. This is unacceptable!

Picture yourself sitting in a chair and just realizing that you can't figure out why your in a strange room and you find out you've been living with your daughter's family for the past 6 months before you slip back into a catatonic stupor. This is scarey stuff, folks. We need to impress upon people what an epidemic we are facing here.

edit for spelling

Repugs trying to piss off the whole country

This is absolutely unbelieveable!!!

The GOP is systematically pissing off everyone in the country
just during an election year.

The only thing I can think of is that the GOP is going to show the
world how they can be the most hated people in society and still
manage to steal the next election.

If a Republican is elected president in 2012 I am going to join
the Franciscan order because it will be the only safe place to be.
These people are nuts!

Another parallel to Repug conservatism

First the Taliban, now Uganda.

Shows a parallel to the negativity of conservative thought.

We can look with disdain at the Taliban and Uganda
and hopefully see the idiocy of the conservatives in the
U.S. and their fight against women's rights and gays.

Wake up people. The old ways of superstition and fear need to be put to rest.

Please. Enough is enough.

Again - One of the best letters I've ever seen...

Our government is bought by the 1%

Every decision made by congress needs to be focused on benefiting all American people.

We need to continue on the path toward creating a better America where people can live a better life than their parents.

We've been sold out and the damage that has been done is going to take years and years to reverse.

If you want to make more restrictive laws...
go back to Europe.

The United States should be a SHINING example of the best that life has to offer. Right now we have reverted to the dark ages where the wealthy aristocracy looks down upon the serfdom and sees us as cannon fodder and an inconvenience.

Of the people, by the people, for the people!! ALL PEOPLE

Simply - businesses can't sell and survive

During this recession the thing that really killed any recovery
was that people in the middle class finally came to the realization
that they needed to save for retirement or die at their desk.

What little discretionary income that was left after the increases over the past 5 years:
gasoline
heating oil
food
vehicle registration
repairs for cars

You add to the list - these increases didn't go up at a normal 2-3%
My electric bill went up 60% and vehicle registration went up 50%
and food is up 25%.

The wealthy have come to realize that if their businesses are to survive
they need the middle class to have enough money to buy things.

They thought they were putting one over on us (since 1985).
Well the plan backfired.

Time to pay the piper, people!

Every time someone with power messes with the balance of things
it comes back to bite 'em in the butt.

Maybe there is a God...

Two things - parental concent - not knowing

Here we have a mother who has responsibility for raising HER child.

Then the law says - You shouldn't have done that
and the mother is surprised that she is in trouble.

You and I may have not have done the same but
this mother made a decision based on her logic.

Do we start to take children away from people
when a judge disagrees with a parental decision is made?

If you're going to do that then make up a rule book
that parents can study so they won't get in trouble.
Set up a hotline so the parents can call and ask what is
"acceptable" and what is not - And while they're at it
they can tell the parent what the fine will be or if they will
loose their children.

Where do we draw the line when judging parents and how they raise their children.

When I was growing up it was a parents decision iof they wanted to allow their child to smoke cigarettes. Most didn't but some did.
What should the penalty be?

It may be tough to watch but where do you draw the line.

If parents from the middle class vote republican -
do we take away their children?
Now there is a sign of irresponsibility if I've ever seen one.
Agree?
