I'm depressed....

Anyone got anything to help me cheer up?

June 25, 2019

So went to the pawn shop....

They only offered $15 for my tablet. Mind you I have the a protector for it and have a 125 Gig chip in it.

So still have it. $25 I might have parted with it, but not for that. They originally they started at $10. Forget it, not want they have the same tablet for sale,in bad shape at that, for $85.

Like to thank all of you who have donated to my Go Fund Me so I was able to turn down such a stupid offer.

Activist artists alter billboard near San Francisco to deliver anti-ICE message

EMERYVILLE, Calif. -- Under the cover of darkness, a group of Bay Area artists have altered a massive billboard on one the region's busiest stretches of highway, CBS San Francisco reports. The billboard is delivering a condemnation of President Trump's immigration policies.

Washington Post: Puerto Rico might not get $600 million in aid until September despite new law[/i

Washington (CNN) — The Trump administration has not sent $600 million in emergency food stamp aid to Puerto Rico two weeks after President Donald Trump approved the funds, and the US territory does not expect to receive the funding until September, according to the Washington Post.
The anticipated delay would mark six months after cuts to the food stamp program began, Glorimar Andújar Matos -- executive director of the Departamento de la Familia -- told the Post.
Around a million people in Puerto Rico are reliant on the food stamp program, according to Matos, and they have seen a decrease in benefits in the months since the cuts began.

People want to donate diapers and toys to children at Border Patrol facilities in Texas.....

People want to donate diapers and toys to children at Border Patrol facilities in Texas. They're being turned away.

A Border Patrol official told a state lawmaker that the agency doesn't accept donations for facilities where children are reportedly being held in substandard conditions.

BY ALEX SAMUELS JUNE 24,

On Sunday, Austin Savage and five of his friends huddled into an SUV and went to an El Paso Target, loading up on diapers, wipes, soaps and toys.

About $340 later, the group headed to a Border Patrol facility holding migrant children in nearby Clint with the goal of donating their goods. Savage said he and his friends had read an article from The New York Times detailing chaos, sickness and filth in the overcrowded facility, and they wanted to help.
***************************
A slew of other sympathetic people, advocacy groups and lawmakers on both sides of the political aisle have expressed a desire to lend a hand to the kids housed in the facilities. But after purchasing items like toys, soap, toothbrushes, diapers and medicine — especially as news reports circulate of facilities having drinking water that tastes like bleach and sick children without enough clothing — they’ve been met with a common message: No donations are being accepted.

Would a pawn shop give me more money if I pawn my tablet instead of selling it to them?

I don't know much about how stuff like this works and I need as much as I can get. Anyone know much about how this works?

Government moves migrant kids after poor conditions exposed

The U.S. government has removed most of the children from a remote Border Patrol station in Texas following reports that more than 300 kids were detained there and caring for each other with inadequate food, water, and sanitation.

****

Attorneys who visited the station in Clint, Texas last week said older children were trying to take care of infants and toddlers, The Associated Press first reported Thursday. Some had been detained for three weeks, and 15 children were sick with the flu.

It’s unclear where all the children have been moved. But Escobar said some were sent to another facility in El Paso.

Michigan GOP headquarters vandalized with 'F--- ICE'

The headquarters of the Michigan Republican Party, headed by a former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent, was reportedly vandalized this weekend with the message "F--- Ice" painted on the side of the building.

Party officials found the graffiti Saturday and reported it to police, party communications director Tony Zammit told MLive.

The party said the vandalism was aimed at state GOP chair Laura Cox, a former ICE agent.
