Been reading posts by Trump supporters. They are like a horse wearing blinders. Now this might be a good thing . Blinders are used to prevent the horse from being spooked by objects in their peripheral vision. Trump people have limited ability to see reality, there for, if not for blinders we would need to bring in many more immigrants just to staff the asylums because these people would go insane if they came face to face with reality.
What do you think?
Trump is withdrawing troop which most feel is not sensible. Remember Trump said he would use the military to build the wall if he did not receive the funding he asked for. I wonder if he will try to say by removing the troops the money saved will pay for materials and the military has man power to build his wall. I doubt it would be legal but it would not stop him from trying. What do you think?
The Affordable Care Act
A few months ago, I was sitting in a waiting room with a group of people. The subject of the Affordable Care Act came up. The general consensus of about half the people there was that they should not be required to buy insurance. This group was quite vocal on this subject. Much to my poor wife's embarrassment, I said quite loudly "I could not agree with you more. There does need to be a change in how medical services are provided. The insured people are now being charged larger fees to cover what is lost on the uninsured. The law must change until hospitals and doctors are not required to treat people who cannot pay. If someone is in an accident or is diagnosed with something like cancer and cannot pay, only a minimum amount of medical care should be administered until they pass away" The whole room went completely quiet. The comments and discussion ended. I am not a cruel person nor do I really expect that people would be denied medical care. At the same time, people must face reality and I have noticed a lot of the good Trumpers do not want to face reality. My guess is that the only way they will face reality is when and if their decisions cause them to suffer. Maybe I am right and maybe I am wrong but that will be up to my fellow Democrats to judge.

The great dictators in the present and in history had a simple plan. One, establish a base who dislike certain people, places or things. Two, appease this group by agreeing they are right and you support them. Three, control information and the media. Four, surround yourself with people who obey you and have no sense of right or wrong. Five, create laws and law enforcement that will remove anyone deemed a threat to your power. This is the United States and that could never happen here. Do you feel safe fellow Americans?
Never though I would see this in the United States.
To me it looks like Trump's supporters have decided to eliminate people who have criticized or opposed him. I wonder how long it will be before they decide to burn a neighbors home or even kill him or her because they spoke ill of Trump. This may sound paranoid but think about it. Many of his supporters are as radical as the Islamic terrorists we are supposed to fear. The daily occurrence of harassment, threats and assaults by Trump supporters is escalating. Trump seems to encourage the worst in people. These people feel they have his blessing and he has given them the right to behave in a way that was denounced by civilized people long ago.
We the people
Every day I hear people blame this or that politician for the state of our country. In most instances they received what they voted for. People don't take a broad view of the ramifications of what they vote for. You know what I mean. Its the other guy they need to go after not me or mine. We need politicians who put the welfare of the country and all the people first not special interests or people with a vendetta against other folks. It is up to we the people to know and vote for what is best for all and hold our elected officials feet to the fire if they don't deliver.
Conservatives and mice.
This time of year mice move in to my storage buildings and I trap some every night. Now a mouse is not the smartest critter but not totally stupid either. It is just a case of what they want namely the bait is all they see not the trap. Conservatives are some what like mice if they want something that is all they see never the other dangers that will effect them. You have to give Trump and company credit they walk them right into a trap by dangling the bait and letting them charge right in. Now isn't it nice to not be a Republican or a mouse.
How long.
How long before the U.S. becomes a dictatorship? People say it could never happen because we have a constitution. Do you really think that would stop a person who keeps consolidating control and power and desires to rule forever.
