Question about DOJ and Trump sexual assault lawsuit

We know the reason given, that Trump was acting in his capacity as president, is bull crap....But let’s say we concede that point, why would it be DOJ lawyers and not the White House Counsel who defends Trump?

You know how you can tell the polls are accurate

Trump’s mood during the Labor Day press conference....he looked and sounded like a guy who was scared....they must have internals saying the same thing.

I look at plenty of polls and one thing that I notice are the inclusion dates....some cover a week, some 2-3 days, and I have seen a few others cover a whole month.....my question is which one would be more accurate and useful?

Over the past several days I have seen quite a few national and state polls very favorable to Biden....but it seems like everywhere I look (cable and web), it’s all about the tightening polls or Biden’s lack of support among key demographics or Trump performing well among key demographics....what gives
