What would happen if we had a national primary?

Just wondering if that is even a possibility. Everyone would vote for the person they wanted as their nominee, then three or four states would not determine if your candidate was viable. It could be held in May, with the conventions in June. It should be on a weekend, no caucus just flat voting.

I am really not fond of the way we do it now.

Fracking and foundations.

We live close to Oklahoma City. There was a quake 4.0 the other day close to us, it shook the house pretty good. My husband noticed a small crack in our patio after this one. He checked around the house after that one and didn't see anything else, no cracks in the drywall or anything like that. I'm not a construction person, could we have foundation damage after this type of quake?

We have earthquake insurance, but my neighbor said we would never be able to prove it was the earthquake and not just the usual foundation issues we have in Oklahoma due to the clay all of our houses are built on.

I saw an article that a lawsuit class action is being prepared by some large legal group to sue the oil companies for fracking. I am at a loss as to what we should do next. Do we call a foundation repair company and see if there is damage, if so, do we just suck it up and get it fixed?

This is getting really frightening. Any advice would be very welcome!

Well my Hillary sign lasted two days.

Stolen overnight last night. It was there when I went to bed and gone when I got up. I am going back to get another one, they won't win.

Cancer Treatment

A friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer day before yesterday. They wanted to start aggressive treatment right away so she and her husband were called to the hospital business office this morning. Bottom line, they sat them down, showed them a very large 6 figure bill and asked how they intended to pay for the treatment after the insurance was exhausted. They have good insurance through the university but even with that the cost is beyond what any person other than a very rich person could pay. How do people do it? Will they refuse her treatment if they can't pay?

No person should feel their life is in danger because they can't pay for care. She called me in tears and said the meeting felt like they were being shaken down by a loan shark.

Then this morning I see the little toad who overcharged for drugs people needed, pleading the 5th and smirking the whole time, make me physically ill.

We need to refocus our attention on the Republicans.

I realize during primary season we focus more on our own candidates, but I really wonder if we will ever be able to come back together as a party to win the election in the fall.

My focus will continue to be the Republican party and the terrible damage they will do if they have complete power. My Grandfather who was pretty active in Illinois politics in the day, always said that Democrats and Republicans will spend the same amount of money so it isn't about spending, it is about what they spend the money on, wars vs. people, the rich vs. the middle class and the poor, corporations vs. people. It is also the difference in who they work for, the rich or the rest of us.

I am sure I will be slammed for this, but after spending months reading the nasty stuff we are throwing at each other during the primary I can actually see a Republican in the White House. I just want to focus my attention on the big picture keeping those assholes out of the White House, the State House and the legislature.

I have been wondering about something the past couple of days.

Do you think we would have the amount of angst in our political process in Washington and in our states, if there had never been a Fox news? Would the Tea Party have taken off the way it did without Fox?

It just seems that having Fox feeding this small faction of right wing zealots has made it so much worse.

I'm sure someone will find fault with this, but I am really wondering what others think about this.

Are there any pictures of the nut who asked Trump the question last night?

He was at a public forum, I honestly think this guy should be shown so his neighbors and employer know what kind of person he is. He was talking about a form of genocide, the hatred was dripping from his right wing lips. I find it interesting that in this day and age of photos everywhere there isn't one of him asking the question.

Dachshund pain management.

Hi everyone, I have always gotten good advice on this forum and I have a question. I have standard longhair doxies, we have always had that breed, right now we have three a 2 year old, a 7 year old and a 10 year old. The young one had surgery at a very young age to repair the ulnas in his front legs. They were not growing properly and he had developed a serious limp. Our vet sent us to an ortho surgeon and he seemed so much better after rehab here at home (I am now a doxie PT expert ).

Now he is experiencing arthritis, as we were told could happen. He is taking carprophen each day , half a tab and we are giving him glycoflex III and vitamin E per our vet. He is doing much better but he comes out of his crate every morning very stiff and clearly uncomfortable. We have the traditional pad in there, the one that came with it. Does anyone know of a better option to make him more comfortable?

We don't have children, so these fur babies are our family...I want him to be comfortable if we can help at all.

Any comment on his drug/supplements would be welcome as well. I should know the drill after having these long dogs all my life but this has been something new, it is not really his back but his legs.

I am headed to work so I may not get to check this until after I get home this afternoon. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone dealt with Rhumatoid Arthritis?

I saw my pain management specialist today and she has ordered tests for RA. The pain in my joints has been increasing. It is clearly not related to my back issues. Hopefully not RA but wanted some information. Is it easy to diagnose? Should I seek out a different doctor for this?
