Bill Clinton stumped for his wife's presidential campaign in Massachusetts on Tuesday -- including inside a polling place
The secretary of the commonwealth's office said shaking hands alone isn't prohibited
(CNN)Election officials in Massachusetts say no official complaints have been filed against former President Bill Clinton, who was spotted Tuesday shaking hands with those inside a Boston polling station.

Stumping for his wife's presidential bid, Clinton met with voters and election workers at Holy Name Parish School's gymnasium, according to pool reports.
Brian McNiff, spokesman for the secretary of the commonwealth of Massachusetts, says shaking hands alone isn't prohibited. Explicit campaigning is what's banned within 150 feet of a polling places.
"Just meeting people doesn't constitute campaigning," McNiff told CNN. "We received no information that anything like that happened."

Clinton pushes Sanders to the brink
She takes seven states to Sanders' four, but that's enough for the Vermont senator to soldier on.

Hillary Clinton speaks during a Super Tuesday night rally in Miami.
.......................
With her demeanor and tone at her victory speech in Miami, Clinton signaled her next fight is against Donald Trump in the general election.
"We know we've got work to do. But that work, that work is not to make American great again," she said, reprising the New York developer's slogan. "We have to make America whole. We have to fill in - fill in what's been hollowed out."
Clinton's exuded confidence on a night when she routed Sanders in many of the 11 states where Democrats went to the polls. She even stole a win in Massachusetts late in the evening, capturing a liberal stronghold that Sanders had hoped would sustain his underdog campaign.
.......................
.......
Clinton is hopeful that the strength of her victory will consolidate Democratic support. So intent on locking up the delegates she needs to win the nomination, she phoned American Samoa to appeal for the territory's six delegates and they went for her.
Sanders, expecting a difficult night, made a quick exit after clinching his home state of Vermont, delivering a rally-the-troops speech before Clinton racked up more wins. He urged his backers to ignore the impending string of statewide defeats and pledged to remain in the race into June.
"This is not a general election," Sanders told his allies before most of the results had flooded in. "It's not winner take all. By the end of tonight, we are going to win many hundreds of delegates."......................
Even as polls were closing, Democrats began envisioning Sanders' role in the race after Clinton cuts off his path to the nomination.
"He didn't start off, in my view, thinking he was going to be the Democratic nominee," David Axelrod, a former aide to President Barack Obama, said on CNN. Axelrod said Sanders was likely to remain in the race to drive issues he staked his candidacy on, like economic inequality. "He has done that and he will continue to do that."
Sanders' goal was to emerge from Super Tuesday with a viable comeback path. But it's unclear how he envisions proceeding from here. His team has sketched a strategy that involves running up margins in the predominantly white states that have responded better to his message. He's hoping to rattle off wins in the weeks ahead in friendlier territory Nebraska, Kansas and Maine, which are next on the calendar.

MIAMI, Fla. Hillary Clinton entered this presidential campaign last April as an overwhelming frontrunner and inevitable Democratic nominee. Tonight, she regained that status.
There was a lot of cheering at Clintons primary night party as results from the 12 states and territories that voted on Tuesday began to flash on the screen. Polls had indicated Clinton would do well today, and there were no surprises.
Following her huge win in South Carolinas Democratic primary on Saturday, Clintons strong showing in the Super Tuesday races today has allowed her to pull substantially ahead of her rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont. As the night progressed, she was declared victor in the delegate-rich states of Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Texas and Massachusetts. Sanders won his home state of Vermont right off the bat and later Oklahoma, Colorado and Minnesota and gave an early evening speech before calling it a night. Though Clinton and her allies arent declaring victory just yet, it is clear they believe the writing is on the wall for Sanders.
Tuesdays balloting kicked off a streak of primaries this month, and Sanders campaign reportedly views March 15 as a decisive moment in the fight for the Democratic nomination. A Clinton campaign source who spoke to Yahoo News at her primary night party here on Tuesday indicated that the campaign also sees March 15 as a turning point and that it expects the night will be a good one for them.
By mid-March, our lead will be large enough that it will be effectively insurmountable [it] wont be mathematically impossible but it will be effectively insurmountable, the Clinton source said..........................................

Bernie Sanders has vowed to fight for the presidential nomination until the Democratic convention, but the results this evening suggest that he is not anywhere close to being on track to amass a majority of pledged delegates.
Hillary Clintons landslide margins in the South and her competitiveness elsewhere translate to an overall lead of around 15 to 20 percentage points nationwide. Her support is anchored by a huge advantage among black voters, who represent nearly a quarter of Democratic voters and have offered her more than 80 percent of their votes a tally rivaling or even exceeding the share won by Barack Obama in 2008.
Mr. Sanders, despite pockets of strength, has not fared well enough to overcome such a huge deficit among black voters.

Not even a few feel-good wins in states like Colorado, Minnesota and Oklahoma would change that. Mr. Sanders would need big wins in these states by much more than 20 percentage points to entertain the possibility of overcoming his enormous deficit in the South, where the majority of Democrats are African-American.............................
