It took less than five minutes of my day

I had been overwhelmed and struggling to call my R senators about Trump. I didn't know how to express my feelings in a concise manner. (Too much worry going on in my head) Pacifist Patriot made it easy.
NPR: How Trump Waged an Under the Radar Ground Game
In a nutshell, Trump did have ground game:
PARSCALE: Yeah. You know, all modeling and almost all polling's based off of a previous expectation of voter turnout, that somehow it's going to look like before. We'll pool asked questions, then we're going to know what's going to happen in the future. The problem is, if the same people don't show up, then all that means nothing. So we created models that look in all different directions.
And by the week of, I knew that the Rust Belt was going to be the more easy one to win, so I was moving targeted money around.
And this is the advantage of - I didn't have to go get 12 steps of approval. I had to get one from Mr. Trump. And we can move whole budget around from mail, phones, TV, digital - everything - within a couple of hours. And so I think that ended up paying in the end. I mean, I think you see that - how we won Wisconsin and Pennsylvania and Michigan. If I would have waited one more day, maybe that had the effect of the, you know, 100,000 votes.
snip.....
PARSCALE: Well mainly, at the end, it was all GOTV.
MARTIN: All get out the vote.
PARSCALE: And partnership with the RNC, yeah. So...
MARTIN: It's interesting because the campaign was lambasted for not having field offices, which is kind of the traditional structure of a get-out-the-vote campaign.
PARSCALE: Yeah, I've always thought that's ridiculous. Most people don't understand what the RNC ground game is. The same people, the same volunteers, the same leadership going into the '14 midterms were in place for '16. So when you turn them back on, they don't have to rebuild all those relationships. They don't have to redo everything. On top of that, they automated the door-knocking program, which was a huge step forward, where the Democrats are still scanning pieces of paper trying to get a database.
MARTIN: What does that mean when you say automate the door-knocking program?
PARSCALE: So if you had an app on your iPhone or Android, you could go knock doors. And when you knock that door, you push a button on your iPhone - you talked and communicated with this person. It would immediately send back to our database, so now we know we don't have to communicate with that person in another method, where Democrats still use pieces of paper that have to be scanned in and then databased later. So they weren't getting real-time information on their door-knocking program. That's a huge advantage for us into our ground game.

I thought this article was interesting. I also heard that some of the computers in Hillary's campaign were attacked by the same bug that attacked DU which caused problems with the database. Hence there was redundancy with calling. I know I went over my 4 paragraph limit, but I found the info useful.
I have a color printer that has been out of ink for several years
I only use it as a scanner.
Now I suddenly need access to a color printer. The manufacturer still makes the cartridges. However I wonder if leaving cartridges empty on the machine for several years has ruined it's printing capability?
I am debating buying 4 cartridges at $11 each or buying a new color printer.
Thanks in advance
Low information:
Most voters aren't paying attention, but we are.

snips:
"About half say Donald Trump's presidential transition is as organized or more organized than previous administrations, whereas about one in three describe it as less organized than past transitions,' said Dropp, though he noted that many of the initial transition picks including Reince Priebus, Steve Bannon and Jeff Sessions are still largely unknown to Americans."
More than half of the respondents had never heard of, or had no opinion, about Trumps chief of staff Priebus, chief strategist Bannon or Sessions, the Alabama senator who is Trumps pick for attorney general.

Here we are freaking out about Bannon and Sessions while most voters don't even know who they are.
General Flynn makes me want to vomit - this is what he wrote about Turkey on Nov 8th
Our ally Turkey is in crisis and needs our support
It is fair to say that most Americans dont know exactly what to make of our ally Turkey these days, as it endures a prolonged political crisis that challenges its long-term stability. The U.S. media is doing a bang-up job of reporting the Erdoğan governments crackdown on dissidents, but its not putting it into perspective.
We must begin with understanding that Turkey is vital to U.S. interests. Turkey is really our strongest ally against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), as well as a source of stability in the region. It provides badly needed cooperation with U.S. military operations. But the Obama administration is keeping Erdoğans government at arms length an unwise policy that threatens our long-standing alliance.
The primary bone of contention between the U.S. and Turkey is Fethullah Gülen, a shady Islamic mullah residing in Pennsylvania whom former President Clinton once called his friend in a well circulated video.

The article goes on and on about Gülen. I don't like Gülen because of his charter school crap. But the charter schools are the Republicans doing anyway.
David Gergen made a good point on CNN
He said that Comey needs to enlist a bunch of manpower and work on this email stuff 24/7 and come up with some type of answer within 72 hours.
Other commenters noted that based on the wording of Comey's memo to FBI agents, he does not currently have access to the emails:
Yesterday, the investigative team briefed me on their recommendation with respect to seeking access to emails that have recently been found in an unrelated case. Because those emails appear to be pertinent to our investigation, I agreed that we should take appropriate steps to obtain and review them.
Venomous caterpillars shown on our local news - looks like you know who
I couldn't help but laugh when they showed this venomous asp caterpillar on the local news.
"Harmful caterpillars are being seen around San Antonio and south Texas. They are called Asp caterpillars." According to News 4's Facebook page.
Just to throw in more Trump stuff, this thing is also known the Puss Caterpillar.
I know the Trump caterpillar thing is an old meme, but to see this on the local news just before the election was a hoot.
