No Vested Interest
No Vested Interest's JournalProactively, I started using a Hurry-cane to make sure I don't fall, which would be very awkward
re the possibility of getting myself up.
I have not fallen as yet, and I'm plenty old.
My spouse fell in his early 60s, and the broken leg bone, near the hip joint, altered his life, not for the better.
Somehow, blood circulation was cut off as it healed, and the leg gradually grew shorter, eventually 2-3 inches shorter than the other.
He had to have his shoes adjusted with lifts on the bottom of the affected leg/foot, and eventually walk with a 4-pronged cane, and finally a walker.
This physical problem affected his self-image and eventually he called himself "crippled", a bad term in his mind.
Always make sure you have enough light as you walk throughout your home - turn on lamps and overhead lights when needed.
Year's difference in school years could depend on birth date.
If born close to cut-off date, some parents believe in holding the child back a year, so that the child will have the advantage of being among the older in the class rather than among the younger (and sometimes smaller and less mature).
Parents of boys are more likely to do this, as some parents feel size is more important in a boy, and that boys are more likely to be less mature at a given age than girls.

While I'm sorry to learn of his death, he was a really terrible actor.
I saw his hostings on "Cheaters" many times, and, believe me, he was not cut out to be an actor.
Perhaps his grandfather's name led him into that profession, but I suspect he likely would have led a longer life had he found his own niche and followed that.
RIP.
Wouldn't it depend on who he was running against? Just like it did in 2016?
I'd give anything to see him exit the White House for good tonight, and would never give him the time of day, let alone my vote.
However, we do know that there were those, particularly in some Mid-Western states, that voted against the Democratic candidate, based on dislike or greater of that Dem. candidate's personality and/or past actions, etc.
This retired librarian appreciates the humor....
This must be obvious, but might you have mattress problems as well as apnea problems?
As you say you have back problems, I presume you've done everything doable to ameliorate that situation.
Luckily, I don't have back problems, but do love a comfortable bed.
Purchased a Tempurpedic mattress 15 or more yrs ago; still using it, though perhaps it could stand a replacement.
I also use two Tempurpedic pillows and spend all night on my back, maybe just shifting slightly one way or another now and again.
I also find I have to be warm enough to not have my sleep disturbed or compromised.
I know that goes against the common advice to have a cool room, etc., but that doesn't work for me.
I also have that 81mg aspirin and a small cup of water on the night-table so that if sleep is disturbed by a small ache, I can take the mini-aspirin and go right back to sleep without much sleep disturbance.
Happy dreams to all.....
I hope that student never considers running for public office....
Let's hear from the editors of the yearbook. Surely they can be located.
Let's ask them and others portrayed in the yearbook if photos were mixed up or just inserted to fill pages.
