Is CPD Columbus, or Cincinnati or Cleveland?

I don't believe that occurred in Cincinnati.

Pray for peace in our nation.

Terrible things have happened and are happening as I type.
We cannot continue in this manner.
May God grant us the resolve to live righteously, with respect for all people.

I understand. One has to choose very selectively.

For that reason I am isolated from my adult children, especially one who is in and out of convenience stores as part of his job and who also has a housemate who goes Lord knows where, as the housemate is not answerable to any of us.

I also have a daughter in a long-term care facility which has been in lockdown since early March. I miss her and she misses her freedom of movement, as she has not had a breath of fresh air in all that time.

My experience at the hairdresser Wed. - 3 days ago.

Ohio began permitting beauty salons to re-open on Monday, I believe.
I know my hairdresser quite well, and had spoken with her approximately weekly since early March.
We are both mature women, and the owner of the salon is not far behind. - All past 50, for sure.
I knew that my hairdresser was staying fairly close to her home during this period; she went out for a walk or a bike ride most days, but stayed home other than that.
I let her know, by phone, that I wanted to come in when the shop was nearly empty.
The salon's owner posted photos on her Facebook page showing the installation of plexiglass separators between the individual stations.
I wore my mask, as did the hairdresser and owner, who were basically the only others in the salon at the time. I had a thick plastic cape over my clothes. Another patron came in for about 20 minutes while I was there, and was seated several stations removed from me.
The hairdresser told me that waxing was not permitted as yet, which surprised me, in that tattoo parlors are now allowed to be open.
Magazines or other reading material had been removed.
The services I had were hair coloring, shampoo, light cut, and blow dry.
I was in the salon about 1 and 3/4 hrs.
I felt the whole process went well, and would say that , under these circumstances, one should not fear having hair done.

I'm so sorry to know that, sprinkeeninow.

You have been through a lot, and still you carry on day after day.
Be very kind to yourself, as you have been kind to others.
You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Still one of my favorites...

I sing it to my family member currently in lockdown in long-term care.
It helps that helpless feeling...

I'm in same situation in Ohio - daughter in long-term care, facility in lockdown.

In addition to physical and medical problems, she's especially needy emotionally.
She's actually done much better than I anticipated she would, though she's had her bad moments, too.

I'm with you, Varda Yoran...

I'm senior now myself for many years; yes, a little slower in pace and name recall.
Still living in my own home, driving locally as needed, do my own laundry, finances, easy food prep, etc.
But I've found myself a mission in life still to be attended to...

My daughter, now in late 50's, has chronic medical problems, due to diabetes, stroke and other complications, as well as psychological needs.
She lives in a long-term care facility, and, as any and all know, family involvement is necessary to insure that her care is appropriate and timely.

So, I too am not ready to pack it in.
Some days are easier than others, some are a struggle.
But, like you. Varda, I'm still in the game, and - not disposable.
