My daughter is a co-signer on my checking accounts; she is not a co-owner.

This is all for my convenience, in case infirmity keeps me from writing checks, or getting to bank for cash as needed.
My deceased husband set up many bills as autopay, thank goodness.

You've received some good advice here. I'll add a few notes:

You and/or sister had best get down to FL to best determine Mom's condition/situation and state of mind. Consider her feelings re future living arrangements as much as practicable.

She should be located long-term near one or the other of you, her children. You will not want future problems, which there will be, coming as a complete surprise, if possible. Do your own research locally as to the best long-term living arrangements in your community. Proximity matters, both for you and for Mother.

Buy and pay for her funeral arrangements now, while she still has funds. This will help spend down her money.

I have made it a point not to donate to political campaigns just for this very reason.

But, I sure have every non-profit and religious organization mailing me. and sending labels, note paper, gift wrap, and greeting cards.

Please pray for wisdom in the electorate on Tuesday,

when many Americans will be voting in state and local elections for leaders and public servants who are capable of rendering good or ill for their constituents.

Remember 2016? Lots of Dems weren't satisfied with accepting the possible.

Some - too many- held out for the ideal.

California, Texas had more births than deaths.

Many states have aging populations - old people (like me) don't have babies.
States that have immigrant populations, many Hispanic but other nationalities as well. will experience growth due to births.
