Fox News: Full Of X-crement

Fox News published digitally altered and misleading photos on stories about Seattle's Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) in what photojournalism experts called a clear violation of ethical standards for news organizations.

As part of a package of Fox's website for much of the day featured a photo of a man standing with a military style rifle in front of what appeared to be a smashed retail storefront.
The image was actually a mashup of photos from different days, taken by different photographers -- it was done by splicing a Getty Images photo of an armed man, who had been at the protest zone June 10, with other images from May 30 of smashed windows in downtown seattle.

Coxsackie virus, maybe new york is just more susceptible

Coxsackie virus was first isolated from human feces in the town of Coxsackie, N.Y., in 1948 by G. Dalldorf. Coxsackie virus is also written as coxsackievirus in some publications.

Coxsackievirus is a member of the Picornaviridae family of viruses in the genus termed Enterovirus. Coxsackieviruses are subtype members of Enterovirus that have a single strand of ribonucleic acid (RNA) for its genetic material. The enteroviruses are also referred to as picornaviruses

Jeez, note the similarities with covid 19: Type B viruses cause epidemic pleurodynia (fever, lung, and abdominal pain with headache that lasts about two to 12 days and resolves). Epidemic pleurodynia is also termed Bornholm disease. There are six serotypes of coxsackievirus B (1-6, with B 4 considered by some researchers as a possible cause of diabetes in a number of individuals).

coxsackieviruses are contagious person to person. These viruses are transmitted mainly by the fecal-oral route and by respiratory aerosols. Droplets containing viruses that land on objects like toys or utensils may occasionally transmit the viruses indirectly to uninfected individuals.

How long are coxsackieviruses contagious?
Coxsackieviruses are most contagious during the first week of symptoms. However, viable virus microbes have been found in respiratory tracts for up to three weeks and then in feces up to eight weeks after initial infection, but during this time, the viruses are less contagious.

You can drink bleach, if diluted

I have seen on clorox style plastic bleach containers a 50 to 1 ratio to clarify cloudy or suspect water. However, follow CDC guidelines below.
Also hydrogen peroxide is a bleach and you can gargle with a half water, half hydrogen peroxide solution, before spitting it out. Go check your hydrogen peroxide bottle.
Drinking 150 proof whiskey or rum solution (in 'shot glasses') also can have positive affects if taken 'in moderation', since it's known to kill harmful gut bacteria, and beer has been drunk for centuries as a better alternative to (unbleached!) water which back then could cause outbreaks of gut disease.

How Much Bleach Is OK to Drink?
According to the U.S. EPA, drinking water should contain no more than four ppm (parts per million) chlorine. Municipal water supplies commonly deliver between 0.2 and 0.5 ppm chlorine. When bleach is added to water for emergency disinfection, it is highly diluted. Suggested dilution ranges from the Centers for Disease Control are eight drops of bleach per gallon of clear water up to 16 drops per gallon of cloudy water
Adding bleach to water is an effective way to make it safe to use as drinking water. Drinking undiluted bleach can kill you.

Note that highly diluted bleach can be another matter entirely. It is common practice to add a small amount of bleach to water to make it potable. The concentration is enough that the water has a slight chlorine (swimming pool) smell and taste but does not cause any harmful health effects.
 If it does, the concentration of bleach very likely is too high. Avoid adding bleach to water that contains acids, such as vinegar. The reaction between bleach and vinegar, even in a diluted solution, releases irritating and potentially dangerous chlorine and chloramine vapors.

how about a mock baseball league

Baseball is not really a contact sport, as are hockey, football, soccer, & basketball. Players do not get close to other players as constantly in the latter 4 sports.
It appears more likely the major league baseball season will be cancelled this year.
In its stead and for morale, a 'mock baseball league' could be played, including a mock world series.

Teams could opt in or out, as well as players. Volunteer players could be drawn from both major and minor leagues, using existing team logos etc, IE yankees dodgers et al.
Players would need all be tested for corona virus 19, using the 15 minute test, prior to each game, sit 6 ft apart in dugouts, and wear masks at all times.
Base stealing would be disallowed so infielders need not hold runners, as well as hit and run disallowed, with maybe 3 step leadoff only until ball is hit.
Play in minor league parks perhaps, no attendance. Play in safer areas. Might be safer to play here than walk the streets in town or city, eh?
Have a 30 to 40 game season, 2 games per week, televised, something to watch live rather than flashbacks to eye rolling settled playoffs from the past.
No wildcards, 3 game playoffs for top 4 teams, and a 7 game world series.

Take me home to the ball game, stay away from the crowd.

Covid19 & Rain, Vitamin C, Fels Naptha, Listerine, Cold Water

What does rain do to the corona virus 19?, wash it away, cleanse surfaces like cars, handrails, mailboxes, outside equipment, door handles? or make it worse as it spreads it about? Seems like the former to me, thus perhaps making sense to shop or go about outdoor business shortly after a rain or maybe during it.
Taking vitamin C supplements, to some of us, has been standard practice to ward off or inhibit the flu, and to help maintain or increase immuno efficiency. 250 mg daily, or a full 500 mg tablet. Juice will do it too, but has sugar while tablets do not.
Fels Naptha soap is a strong soap & I wonder if it would deactivate the virus better. Made by purel I thinks. Leave a residue on hands by rinsing only once or twice.
Listerine and other mouthwashes, 25% alcohol, kills mouth bacteria and would help maintain higher immuno efficiency. I read that a 60% alcohol solution is needed to prevent covid19. A 60% alcohol solution is 120 proof and enough to kill some humans in itself if taken in excess. Beer at 6% was taken in middle ages in lieu of water since beer was safer to drink due bacteria killing ability. Why is 25% alcohol mouthwash not recommended?
Does cold water wash work as well as warm water? Why not he asked. Both reduce surface tension with soap, and one wonders whether warm water enhances survival etc..

PS: and do away with lengthy drive in tests for covid19, they are asinine imo. On tv last night said hundreds of cars waiting hours to get a drive thru test swabbing. Idling cars use 1/2 gallon gas per hour, all those cars creeping bumper to bumper for hours creates noxious exhaust fumes which people breathe, add pollution to global warming. Replace with parking lots and walk ins - give incoming cars and people a 'ticket' with a number on it and move up to a room or tent as the number comes up and is flashed on a large screen.

With yet another rainy day on Jan. 31, Seattle has now notched measurable rain on 28 of the 31 days this month -- tying the record for most days in a month with measurable rain with the 28 days of rain in January 2006 and January 1953.

The new year kicked off with a balmy start for the U.S., making January 2020 the fifth warmest January on record. All 48 contiguous states saw above- to much-above-average temperatures last month. January was also quite damp for the Lower 48 and ranked in the wettest third of the 126-year climate record.

Last month, much-above-average wetness was observed across the Pacific Northwest as well as portions of the central and southern U.S. Washington state experienced its fourth-wettest January, while Oklahoma saw its sixth wettest on record.

Webster's 1828 dictionary: Misdemeanor

Daniel Webster (edit, oops, Noah!), 1828, provides proof that a misdemeanor was not necessarily a crime:

It seems it would have been incorrect to refer to a misdemeanor as a 'high misdemeanor' as some during impeachment took it, as 'high crimes and high misdemeanors', since saying a 'high smaller fault of less consequence' would be sort of oxymoronic - compare with jumbo shrimp.
Addendum - jumbo shrimp is not really an oxymoron, when intending shrimp as being the shell fish. George Carlin wrong.

Lindsey Graham misused the meaning of 'impunity', obviously getting it back asswards.
Properly said it would've been 'you cannot kill an american with impunity'. That is, you cannot kill an american and be exempt from punishment.
What graham wrote is saying - you cannot kill an american without 'being exempt from punishment'.
Cancelling out the double negatives 'cannot' and 'without' transforming them into 'with' & 'can', it becomes 'you can kill an american with impunity', or 'you can kill an american with freedom from punishment'.
Wow, and we thought suleimani was bad.
My memory aid for 'wrong' is: Without compunction and with impunity. Is why I caught it. Bravo me.
