NEW YORK (AP) — Former President George W. Bush will be back in the public eye as he promotes "41," his upcoming book about his father, former President George H.W. Bush.

George W. Bush's interview with CBS newsman Bob Schieffer will air in two parts on Sunday, Nov. 9: the first on "Sunday Morning," the second on "Face the Nation." An interview with NBC's Savannah Guthrie airs on the "Today" show on Nov. 10. For publication day, Nov. 11, both former presidents will be on "Today" for a discussion with George W. Bush's daughter and "Today" correspondent Jenna Bush Hager.

Other appearances by George W. Bush announced Tuesday by Crown Publishers include interviews on the Fox News Channel and NPR and a private event at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum in Texas.

With Election Day approaching on November 4th, Americans are faced with a perennial question: to vote or not to vote? In the last midterm election, in 2010, only 47 percent of the eligible population voted. Voting patterns typically break down along clear demographic lines: Non-voters tend to be low-income, young and people of color, while those who vote tend to older, whiter and richer than the population at large. Over the last three elections, voter turnout has been consistently 30 points higher among the highest income bracket (those earning more than $150,000 a year) than those in the lowest (those earning less than $10,000). Recent research on the top one percent of the wealth distribution – millionaires – suggests that members of this group turn out to vote at the staggering rate of 99 percent.

For a long time, political scientists believed that this voting gap was immaterial, and that voters were effectively a "carbon copy" of the non-voting population. They argued that this meant that non-voters were still adequately represented in elections. For a long time, this was likely true – but since the late 1980s the class bias in the voting electorate has increased dramatically. At the same, public opinions on economic redistribution, government and regulation have polarized, with the rich rejecting the New Deal consensus in favor of laissez-faire lunacy. This means that our current election system is not representing what Americans really think. Here are five ways that our country would be different if everyone voted:

Election Watch 2014: Voters to Decide on Retail Pot Ban in Manitou Springs

Voters will decide whether to ban retail pot sales in Manitou Springs, just months after the first sales began there. Ballot measure 2G is stirring up controversy in the community, if it passes recreational marijuana sales would come to an end. A "yes" vote on the ballot measure, 2G, would ban retail pot in Manitou Springs and that extra revenue would disappear.

Tim Haas, owner of the Garden of the Gods Trading Post, organized the group "No Retail Marijuana in Manitou Springs" in an effort to stop the sales.

Those fears include increased panhandling, a negative reputation, increased crime and drug problems. But so far, there's no concrete evidence that those perceived problems are becoming a reality.

Maggie's Farm does have its medical marijuana license, but currently only sells recreational marijuana at the Manitou Springs location. Conkling wouldn't speculate on what he'll do if the retail pot ban passes.

John Spinello, Inventor Of 'Operation' Game, Can't Afford Real-Life Operation

John Spinello earned a small spot in pop culture history 50 years ago when he invented Operation, the battery-powered game that lets kids play surgeon.

But now, the 77-year-old Illinois man needs $25,000 in oral surgery and can't afford to pay for it, having sold the rights to his creation for just $500.

Spinello says he's not bitter and prefers to not focus on the healthcare crisis.

"Look, everyone needs medical care," Spinello told HuffPost Weird News. "I prefer not to dwell on that aspect and focus more on the joy that the game has brought to so many over the years."

Beady Eye have disbanded, Liam Gallagher revealed in a tweet Saturday. "Beady Eye are no longer. Thanks for all your support," the former Oasis singer wrote. Gallagher's fellow Oasis mate and Beady Eye guitarist Andy Bell added, "Thanks to all the Beady Eye fans. I had a blast. See you on the other side. Big Love." A representative for the band confirmed the split with Rolling Stone.

Following the Oasis breakup in the summer of 2009, Gallagher invited Bell as well as Oasis' guitarist Gem Archer and drummer Chris Sharrock to join him in "something new." The band released a pair of well-regarded studio albums, 2011's Different Gear, Still Speeding and 2013's BE, but never reached the Britpop heights of their previous entity.

Earlier this year, Beady Eye canceled their two Coachella slots "for reasons beyond our control," the band tweeted at the time without going into further detail. In fact, that February 28th announcement regarding Coachella was the last time Beady Eye's social media accounts posted anything, and their official website's news section has been dormant since early February 2014. A month later, the band split with manager Scott Rodger. The band's final shows together were two concerts in Japan in March 2014.

While NME writes that fans are already clamoring for an Oasis reunion following the Beady Eye split, especially with the (What's The Story) Morning Glory? 20th anniversary reissue out, Noel Gallagher is currently working on his High Flying Birds project. That outfit will release their new LP Chasing Yesterday in March 2015. The album's final track, "The Ballad of the Mighty I" features former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, who recently brought out Noel Gallagher to perform Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life" during a show at London's O2 Academy Brixton.
