Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the third runner-up on season two of Survivor, had a particularly stupid thought Monday which she helpfully shared on national television. Elisabeth wondered why the Black Lives Matter movement hasn’t been classified as a hate group. What’s funny is that we’ve all been wondering the same thing about her.

Hasselbeck pondered this question that was designed solely to further the narrative that black people deserve to be gunned down at the hands of their own government during a segment today on Fox & Friends, which attempted to make the very thin connection between the killing of a deputy in Texas by a man who happens to be black and the Black Lives Matter movement (h/t via the Wrap).

Elisabeth and (insert generic white, Fox New dudebro here) were joined by their resident [s]Uncle Tom[/s] black person, Kevin Jackson, who described the movement as “nonsense” and suggested that black people are being shot by the police at alarming rates because black families can’t stay together.

His idiot remarks perfect set up Elisabeth to fear monger like only a woman of her limited intelligence, willfully emboldened by the backing of a truly evil conglomerate can.

Last month, Hulk Hogan was literally erased from WWE's archives overnight, after the release of recorded conversations that revealed he'd used racial slurs while discussing his daughter's relationship with a "black billionaire." And just like that, a career that spanned nearly 40 years – and a legacy as one of the most beloved wrestlers of all-time – was wiped away.
Now, Hogan's attempting to rebuild his reputation, kicking off a mea culpa tour in an interview with ABC News.

Since being fired from WWE, Hogan has laid low. Outside of a cryptic tweet and personal statement, Monday marked the first time he addressed the incident on a public platform. During an interview aired on Good Morning America, a teary-eyed Hogan begged for forgiveness and said not only has this been the lowest point of his life, he also contemplated suicide.

"Oh, my gosh. Please forgive me. Please forgive me. I'm a nice guy," he said. "I think if you look at the whole picture of who Hulk Hogan is, you can see over all the years that there's not a racist bone in my body."

Justin Bieber has made his emotional comeback at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards with a medley of “What Do You Mean?” and “Where Are U Now” — and it was enough to make the singer keel over in tears.

With a blue light illuminating his silhouette, Bieber sang the opening bars of “Where Are U Now” in a baseball cap and all-black ensemble while keeping his face hidden. He kept the song sweet and simple until the Jack U beat dropped and he erupted into the Bieber choreography that we know and love.

“Life is a journey. Sometimes a battle,” he said. “Always the unexpected. Sometimes you focus on the destination and forget to focus on that journey. When you fall it allows you to get up stronger. It allows you not to lean on your own understanding, give in to fate… Believe in something bigger than yourself and find your purpose.”

After giving an inspirational speech, Bieber was launched into the air, turning himself into a real-life hologram. When it was all over, he bent over in tears. This is the real Bieber.

Judge rules Missouri family's purple swingset can stay

A Missouri judge has ruled that a suburban Kansas City family's purple swingset won't need to have its color changed after a homeowner's association threatened the family with fines or jail time.

"We're super excited, we’re very happy," said Marla Stout, who owns the swingset, told Fox4KC at a neighborhood barbecue Sunday celebrating Friday's ruling.

Stout told "Fox & Friends" earlier this month that she painted the swingset purple at the request of her two young daughters more than two years ago. But it was only this summer that the homeowner's association for the subdivision the Stouts live in told Marla that the color was not in harmony with others in the neighborhood.

Stout also told Fox4KC that she received a letter from the homeowners association saying that she hadn't gotten the playset color pre-approved. Another letter from the homeowner’s group said the lawsuit will cost the Stouts “far greater than any principal [sic] you are trying to prove.”

Big Pink, the West Saugerties, New York house that served as the setting for Bob Dylan and the Band's Basement Tapes sessions in 1967, is now available as a vacation rental. The salmon-colored abode, which also lent its name to the Band's classic 1968 debut LP Music From the Big Pink, is listed on VRBO with a nightly rental rate of $650, Jambase reports.
Don and Susan LaSala, who purchased the historic home in 1998, began offering the dormer portion of the property for overnight accommodations for the first time this summer. As Big Pink's description notes, that includes "Levon Helm's bunk area," a sunroom ("Rick Danko's quarters&quot , the Central Staircase as well as "views of Overlook Mountain." The 1,850-square foot Big Pink comfortably sleeps nine and features updates like Wi-Fi and limited cable television.

Unfortunately for Dylanphiles who want to grace the hallowed ground where "Million Dollar Bash" and "Tears of Rage" were crafted, the rental posting warns, "the Basement is not included in the rental." Since being opened as a vacation rental earlier this summer, Big Pink has already scored five five-star ratings on VRBO. As one reviewer notes, the LaSalas have gone to great lengths to preserve Big Pink's 1967 aura.

In 2014, Rolling Stone ventured back up to Big Pink with the Band's Garth Hudson to celebrate the release of The Bootleg Series Vol. 11: The Basement Tapes Complete. "It's way bigger than I thought," Hudson said after stepping into the basement. "We'd be around, cleaning up or whatever, and Bob would come in. Bob didn't like to sing the same song over and over."

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Former President George W. Bush enjoyed sympathetic audiences in New Orleans and Mississippi on Friday as he returned to the region where Hurricane Katrina sank his popularity 10 years ago.

Bush avoided parts of New Orleans that have yet to recover from the devastating storm, such as the Lower 9th Ward, where President Barack Obama mingled with hundreds of residents the day before. Bush did not tour the federally managed levees whose failures flooded 80 percent of the city.

Instead, he visited a school rebuilt with support from former first lady Laura Bush's foundation, then flew to Gulfport, Mississippi, to honor police and firefighters who saved lives after Katrina's towering storm surge swamped the coast.

Bush took no questions at either event, and made no mention of his administration's lackluster initial response to Katrina, which historians consider a low point for his presidency. In New Orleans, he focused instead on promoting charter schools.

Happy 50th birthday to Highway 61 Revisited, Bob Dylan's strangest, funniest, most baffling and most perfect album. Released on August 30th, 1965, it arrived just five months after his previous masterpiece, Bringing It All Back Home, but this was a different guy making a different album, a folk rogue embracing the weirdness and spook of electric rock & roll. "The songs on this specific record are not so much songs but rather exercises in tonal breath control," Dylan explains in his wonderfully insane liner notes. "The subject matter — tho meaningless as it is — has something to do with the beautiful strangers." And that's what the nine songs on Highway 61 add up to: a late-night road trip through an America full of beautiful strangers who'll never get back home.

Highway 61 is the middle album in the trilogy of Bringing It All Back Home and Blonde on Blonde—from that moment when Dylan flipped for the Beatles, went electric and banged out these three rock & roll albums in the space of 14 manic months, three albums everybody (including Dylan) has been trying to live up to (or just plain imitate) ever since. All three have different flavors — if Bringing It All Back Home takes off from the Beatles, Highway 61 is the Stones and Blonde on Blonde is Smokey Robinson — but unlike the other two, Highway 61 never lets up. This album has no "On the Road Again" or "Obviously Five Believers" — a moment of pleasant filler where you can catch your breath. Each of the nine songs tells its own immaculately frightful story.

And more than Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 is a band album, rather than a solo album. The songs are juiced with perfect moments of musical interaction — Charlie McCoy's guitar on "Desolation Row," Paul Griffin's piano on "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues," Bobby Gregg's drums on "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry," Michael Bloomfield's twang in "Tombstone Blues," everybody and everything on "Ballad of a Thin Man." Even the infamously out-of-tune guitar on "Queen Jane Approximately" adds to the spirit.

I first heard "Like a Rolling Stone" on the radio as a little kid in the Seventies, on a short-lived Boston Top 40 AM station called WACQ — the voice so threatening, so disturbing, sneering like the Fonz, except also a cool voice that would make anyone itch to join the wild adventure he was singing about. He did that trademark Dylan move of changing his mind about the lyrics in the middle of a word — "To be haaaa-on your own!" (And to think some people still trust this man's lyric sheets.) How did he get away with that? It was a voice like nothing else I'd ever heard. Then the DJ segued right from "Like a Rolling Stone" to the disco hit "Heaven on the Seventh Floor," about getting stuck in an elevator with a foxy lady. Hard to believe that station went out of business.
