Bill Koch Duped by Wine Fakes to the tune of $5m.
$5,000,000 spent on "moose piss", and it's probably pocket change to him.
American billionaire Bill Koch will do something tonight that few people of his wealth would ever consider.
He will appear on the ABC News program "20/20" to admit he is a sucker. A sucker for fake wines.
"Youre damn right," he says. "Pigeon, sucker, whatever they call the mark."
Koch says he spent some $5 million buying rare vintages of top French wines, which later turned out to be fakes. Many were actually produced in the kitchen of a master con man in suburban Los Angeles.
"I just had to have them," Koch told "20/20" in an interview conducted in the elaborate wine cellar of his oceanfront mansion in Palm Beach, Florida. "Then Id open it up and drink it and it was dish water or moose piss."
Koch admits there will be little sympathy for a wealthy person spending $50,000 to $100,000 for a fake bottle of wine, but he choked up as he described his distress at seeing the debasement of "the art, craftsmanship" of so many fine wines being faked.

All in all, it appears to be a fine looking firearm for it's intended purpose and market.
Especially when compared to the other 'ban state' AR abortions out there.

Beating the ban - Ares SCR
Necessity is the mother of inventionAll in all, it appears to be a fine looking firearm for it's intended purpose and market.
Especially when compared to the other 'ban state' AR abortions out there.
Assuming that Darwin made it into heaven after spilling the beans about evolution, he is probably smiling from on high at the sight of the Ares SCR. This rifle is a perfect example of what happens when the do-gooders of the world take it upon themselves to protect us from evil. Once known as the EBR (still my favorite term), and has since become the MSR, Ares can now add the SCR to the family tree.
The evil in question, of course, is that nasty pistol grip found on most AR-style rifles. To remedy that, Ares has created the Sport Convertible Rifle, which retains all the functionality of a basic AR but sports a more traditional style hunting stock.

And they're not happy about it

Bloomberg... Owned.
All that money to throw around, and still can't get something so simple (like creating the FaceBook page right from the start), right.
A Pro-Gun Group Stole Bloombergs Gun Safety Groups Name On Facebook
Former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg launched a $50 million gun-control campaign called Everytown for Gun Safety. But a pro-gun group took the name for its Facebook page.
Former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg announced on Tuesday the creation of Everytown for Gun Safety, a major gun-control campaign that will combine some of his previous efforts.
But a pro-gun group has already reserved that page on Facebook. The first post the group made proudly stated that it stole the name of Bloombergs group.
And they're not happy about it
Maybe theyd like to duel for it, said Mark Glaze, the executive director of Everytown for Gun Safety. I hear every person on our staff of 85 is a better shot than Wayne LaPierre. Or maybe a bidding war!
Were going through the proper process for transitioning our Demand Action page to Everytown, which takes a few weeks, and acquiring trademark protection for both Everytown and Everytown for Gun Safety. Once that happens, we expect Facebook to shoo these cybersquattters politely off this name/page.

Does "No Smoking"/"Smoking Prohibited" also apply to Ecigs and Vaping?
If not, should it?

Zero tolerance insanity - Teen Jailed 13 Days ... Over A Pocketknife
Un-fucking-believable.
A high school senior in Ohio is facing felony charges after officials at the technical school he was attending for firefighter training searched his vehicle and found a pocketknife. The young man's future and his dreams of serving the public are now in jeopardy.
"If I am convicted of a felony, I'm never going to be a police officer. I'm never going to be a fireman. I'm never going to be in the military," Jordan Wiser told The Huffington Post. "I won't even be able to be a janitor. I'm 18 years old, and this is going to ruin my entire life."
-----------
On Dec. 12, 2013, administrators at A-Tech approached Wiser after someone allegedly tipped them off about videos Wiser had uploaded to YouTube.
The YouTube account in question appears to include reviews of video games and merchandise, demonstrations on home defense tactics and an interview with a local police officer.
"The principal said he had reason to believe I had weapons in my vehicle and needed to search it," Wiser said. "He made me empty out all my pockets, and the vice principal grabbed me and patted me down very forcibly. It was somewhat awkward. Then they took my car keys. I told them what was in my car and said, 'Don't be alarmed.'"
And now for the icing on the cake...
"I was in jail for almost 13 days," Wiser said. "The first bond hearing I went to was on December 15. The judge ordered me [to be] held on a half million-dollar bond, pending a psychological evaluation. I did that and passed. They found I was not suicidal, homicidal or a threat to anybody. My attorney brought it up in front of a different judge, who let me out on a $50,000 bond and an ankle monitor. I was released from jail on Christmas Eve."

FL teen wrongfully arrested, spends 35 days in jail
because arresting officer gets name wrong and conducts no follow up.
Hope this kid ends up with a sizable payday.
They arrested the wrong Cody Williams, and then kept him in jail for more than a month.
The Clay County, Fla., Sheriff's Office punished a deputy Tuesday for the wrongful arrest of 18-year-old Cody Lee Williams, who didn't even share the same middle name as a man accused of having sex with a young girl.
Other than the name, theres no other similarities," Kris Nowicki, Cody Lee Williams' attorney, told the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday. Cody Williams had never met this girl and didnt know anything about her."
According to the Florida Times-Union, which first reported on the story, a girl younger than 12 told investigators that she had sex with an older boy named Cody Williams on Halloween in 2012.
Williams was arrested on Aug. 30 and languished in jail until Oct. 4, the day his mother pleaded with the Clay County Sheriff's Office to release her son, according to investigators' records, which the Sheriff's Office provided to The Times.
Not only did they not do a photo lineup, but further they put him directly into adult court, filing an affidavit that not only is it this guy, but he did something" so serious that he should be charged as an adult, Nowicki said. (Williams, the wrongly arrested, would have been 17 at the time of the crime.)
