Germany pays to idle Danish wind farms to ease grid congestion
Danish power producers pulled 37 gigawatt-hours in November
Germanys wind farms are now producing so much electricity one of its grid managers is paying generators in neighboring Denmark to shut down to keep its network from overloading.
German network operator TenneT TSO GmbH paid Danish power producers to withhold 37 gigawatt-hours of output in November, or about a day of production from the regions biggest nuclear reactor, according to data from the Nord Pool Spot AS exchange in Oslo. The increase from 1.5 gigawatt-hours a year ago came as TenneT began from 2015 to boost payments to Danish producers via its neighboring grid to avoid cutting German output.
When gusty weather floods the network with power and threatens stability, Germany can seek cuts, according to grid rules. If such reductions are still not enough, Germany will then start shutting its own turbines. The countrys shift to renewables has more than doubled its wind power over the past decade, with output reaching a record on Nov. 18. Investment in power lines to move it across the country has failed to keep up...snip
...This comes as Germany saw negative prices in the market for hours on at least 10 days during the last month in high winds, forcing producers to pay as much as 116.99 euros per megawatt-hour to users to take electricity. Danish electricity output had to be reduced by 237 gigawatt-hours so far this year, a 25-fold increase year on year...snip

Energy Storage: ‘Windgas’ could drive car industry
Bdlive.co.za | Horst Hamm | December 01 2015
FOR all the talk about the imminent end of the oil era, 99% of the cars, trucks and planes currently operating are still petrol-powered.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has insisted that change is on the way: in 2011, she predicted that 1-million electric cars would be in use in Germany by 2020. Yet, as of January 1 this year, there were only about 19,000 electric cars registered in Germany...snip
An Audi is filled with e-gas which uses electricity from wind turbines to turn water and carbon dioxide into methane Picture: BLOOMBERG/JASPER JUINEN
..Superfluous ecoelectricity from wind turbines and solar panels can be used to produce hydrogen and relatively simple organic compounds, such as methanol and methane. These compounds can be used to power cars, either in a combustion engine, or with the use of a fuel cell that can transform the materials back into electricity.
This is precisely the alternative Audi has been exploring in Werlte, Lower Saxony, where it commissioned Etogas to build the first power-to-gas plant.
Power-to-gas is the process by which wind and solar power are transformed into hydrogen and methane, a technique developed at the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research in Stuttgart...snip

E.ON Power-to-Gas facility in Falkenhagen with Hydrogenics technology
Dec 11, 2013
On August 28, 2013, E.ON inaugurated commercial operations at its Power-to-Gas (P2G) facility in Falkenhagen, Germany. The plant uses wind power and Hydrogenics' electrolysis equipment to transform water into hydrogen, which is then injected into the existing regional natural gas transmission system. The hydrogen, as part of the natural gas mix, can be used in a variety of applications including space heating, industrial processes, mobility, and power generation. The facility, which has a capacity of two megawatts, produces 360 cubic meters of hydrogen per hour.
Irish politicians face Christmas jail time for trying to inspect US war planes
Source: RT
Two members of Irelands Dáil (parliament) face Christmas in the clink for trying to inspect US military aircraft at Shannon airport.
Independent TD (MP) Mick Wallace and United Left TD Clare Daly used a rope ladder to gain access to a restricted area of Shannon Airport in July 2014.
They suspected the US of carrying weapons through Ireland, a neutral country that is not part of NATO, and were arrested as they approached two US planes on the taxiway guarded by police and the Irish army.
The pair contested charges of trespassing on the grounds that they were inspecting the planes for humanitarian reasons and to highlight Irelands lack of neutrality...

TV licence evader refused to pay because the 'BBC covered up facts about 9/11 and claimed tower fell 20 minutes before it did'
25 February 2013: A 49-year-old man refused to pay his TV licence because he believed the BBC covered up facts about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Fan base: Around 100 supporters of Tony Rooke arrived at Horsham Magistrates' Court in West Sussex to watch the court case - although only 40 could pack into the public gallery
Tony Rooke, who represented himself today at Horsham Magistrates Court in West Sussex, said he did not want to give money to an organisation 'funding the practice of terrorism'.
Rooke, who admitted owning a TV and watching it without a licence, was found guilty of using an unlicensed set, given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £200 costs.
He was visited in May 2012 by an inspector after withdrawing his licence in March, but said he was withholding the funds under the Terrorism Act...snip

BBC: We "Lost" the 911 tapes, then "found" them (kind of like how NASA "Lost" the moon landing tapes only different because the NASA moon tapes are still "lost".)
Part of the conspiracy?
BBC 2007: 4. We no longer have the original tapes of our 9/11 coverage (for reasons of cock-up, not conspiracy). So if someone has got a recording of our output, I'd love to get hold of it. We do have the tapes for our sister channel News 24, but they don't help clear up the issue one way or another...

Controversy and conspiracies III
BBC 2008: The mystery of the missing tapes didn't last that long. One very experienced film librarian kindly agreed to have another look for us one night. There are more than a quarter of a million tapes just in the Fast Store basement at Television Centre. The next morning I got a call to say the tapes had been found. They'd just been put back on the wrong shelf - 2002 rather than 2001. Not so sinister after all...

Some people are saying that 911 truth is dead. Quite the contrary, more people than ever before question the Bush/Cheney lies. And here's a Brit that cares more about the truth than many Americans. Thanks, Mr. Rooke, for making a difference.

On this Thanksgiving night episode, psychologist Chris Gruener discusses his activist work of waking up fellow Massachusetts citizens to the truth of 9/11. (Coincidentally, it was in Massachusetts that the Pilgrims of Plymouth Rock celebrated New Englands first Thanksgiving feast.) Gruener talks about his most recent wake-up work, which involved hosting Richard Gage during his mid-November Northeast Tour. He also explains the relevance of the 14-year-old 9/11 Truth Movement to current events. Finally, Gruener offers his take on the low blow that Boston Globe columnist Alex Beam delivered to truthers who dare speak up about the solid evidence that the three World Trade Center towers were destroyed by controlled demolition.

Al Gore gets green with new Staples Center power source

Former Vice President Al Gore and Staples Center officials celebrated the installation of fuel cells said to provide approximately 25 percent of the energy required to power the arena.
The Bloom Energy fuel cell technology, including servers, will also reduce Staples Centers carbon emissions by 2.2 million pounds of carbon annually, a 39 percent reduction compared to electricity purchased from the Department of Water and Power, according to Staples Center President Lee Zeidman.
