trump TV network?? FT

The last thing I will tolerate is seeing trump on the TV every night on his newly created network and I am not talking about FOX.
He wants his own and is already investing. When trump loses the election he better be in jail, not on any show spouting lies night after night. THIS madness has got to stop somewhere.

In the spring of 1954, McCarthy picked a fight with the U.S. Army, charging lax security at a top-secret army facility. The army responded that the senator had sought preferential treatment for a recently drafted subcommittee aide. Amidst this controversy, McCarthy temporarily stepped down as chairman for the duration of the three-month nationally televised spectacle known to history as the Army-McCarthy hearings.

The army hired Boston lawyer Joseph Welch to make its case. At a session on June 9, 1954, McCarthy charged that one of Welch's attorneys had ties to a Communist organization. As an amazed television audience looked on, Welch responded with the immortal lines that ultimately ended McCarthy's career: "Until this moment, Senator, I think I never really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness." When McCarthy tried to continue his attack, Welch angrily interrupted, "Let us not assassinate this lad further, senator. You have done enough. Have you no sense of decency?"

It’s 1933, the Great Depression is in full swing, “Everybody’s broke, Darling”, everybody’s cheating, husbands, wives, businessmen, even the President and “everything’s the matter with the affairs of the nation.” To top it off the wrong class torments the right class, vulgar opportunists blackmailing maids, cooks dropping “dressy” aspic on the floor, cheeky bellboys skimming liquor money, butlers knifing chefs, and a Montana miner trying to take over the company of an Old Guard shipping magnate. Although everyone is pulleying themselves up fist by fist there is always something or someone ready to cut the rope.

Maybe we will all be saying this in a year or so?

Just had a 2 hour call with high school best friend.

She is Medical Doctor. She teaches at a University and runs a cancer treatment facility. Now, she is required to report for service in in the ER, Covid wards, or intensive care units with all Covid patients ... 2 week on 2 weeks off (in case Covid infected). She is a single mother with 2 daughters and a mother in a nursing home.

WELL GUESS THE FUCKING WHAT? The hospital just cut her pay by 20%. YES< THESE FUCKERS THAT RUN HOSPITALS ARE CUTTING PAY TO OUR FRONT LINE WORKERS>

She told me that she was very afraid to show up to work because she only has flimsy surgical masks that will never protect the wearer from this virus. But, she shows up every day. FUCK PENCE< FUCK TRUMP.

I have to edit post because my friend wears a surgical mask when entering the hospital and at her clinics. She did say to me that the folks in ICU, emergency rooms, wards do have PPE's ... she said that those folks are more protected in these Covid units than she is.

A question: How soon after infection with Covid-19 can it be detected?

Even with the tests that say yesterday you were not infected but today you are. White House folks are infected, including Secret Service. Can they get a handle on this outbreak or are the infections baked in?
