They are projecting their bad personality traits (drooling while ogling) onto women so they don't have to feel guilty. It's always someone else's fault with these "good old boys" and they want to keep it that way.

I lived alone and I kept finding dirty dishes every morning, even though I clean up and put away before bed, then there was missing food, unexpected weight gain and I had to accept that I was sleep walking/eating. More exercise helped it stop.
