A puppy in a closed-for-the-night pet shop.

Years ago, I was walking after I had dinner at a restaurant. I came across a small pet shop and I stared into the window.
Something looked off, and I soon noticed there was merchandise spread all over the floor—it looked like a tornado had hit the place.

Then something caught my eye: I saw a puppy running around the back area of the store. He had somehow got out of his cage and then (with all his puppy energy) completely ransacked the place after the employees closed up.

That is how I feel many Republicans have been acting since Trump was elected: many of them went nuts with no thoughts of what would happen after the four years was up—similarly, actually, to the idiots at the Capitol on 1/6.

Puppies are a hell of a lot cuter than human traitors, but regardless, that story comes to mind when I think of how the GOP has been acting since Trump was tossed into our White House.

I don't think this is over. Trump is changing his tone...

but I think that's because they want to take another stab at a coup.

We need to get that guy out of power NOW, and start weeding out those who are aiding him in his quest at a coup.

Remember when we began hearing long time Republicans saying, "I am not voting for Trump again."

As the months wore on, I have no doubt that most of those people ended up voting for him again.

They saw the signs of his crappy, lazy and selfish leadership during the pandemic, and gave up on him. But in the end, they just couldn't bear to not vote for him.

I wonder how they feel about themselves now.

Trump pressured Pence to engineer a coup, then put the VP in danger, source says

Source: CNN.com

President Donald Trump and top White House officials did little to check in on Vice President Mike Pence while he and members of his family were inside the US Capitol when Trump-backed rioters stormed the halls of Congress on Wednesday, a source close to the vice president tells CNN.

Pence was joined by his wife Karen Pence, daughter Charlotte and brother, Rep. Greg Pence, R-Indiana, for the ceremonial counting of the electoral votes in Congress Wednesday. Several of the violent Trump supporters who were rampaging the US Capitol were heard screaming "where's Mike Pence," the source said, frightening the vice president and his family.

Yet, the President and his top aides barely lifted a finger to check in on Pence to make sure he and his family were unharmed, the source added.

If threatened with being barred from running in 2024...

I think Trump would resign before being impeached.

If this happened today, McConnell would look the other way, Trump would praise them...

and Fox would interview them—blaming the Democratic party.

Both of my parents were Republicans. But somehow I've always loathed the Republican party.

In my 20's, I felt the GOP was as a party that wanted to bring our country back to the industrial revolution age: when there were no labor laws, and child labor was legal.

But I wonder how Republicans of the near past (like my parents), would feel if they saw what is going on with their party today.

I believe Russian money has finally reached the evil, selfish, heartless party...and it has been compromised beyond repair.
