Sail on Gracefully

Sail on, gracefully
Standing in the light house
Waiting for my long lost spouse
She’s arriving on an ocean liner
It took years to find her
Sail on gracefully
Sail on a placid sea

Loose lips
Sink ships
Back flips
Racing tips
Sexy hips
Sink ships

Sail on gracefully
Sail on a placid sea

Polar caps are melting
No punching bag is worth belting
It’s snowing in the desert
The wind make my eyes hurt.

I can’t wait until I embrace you
Square Bob Pants
Wants the next dance.

Sail on gracefully
Sail on a placid sea

Queen of the Hobo's

2/20/1988
Queen of the hobo’s

By Stephen Jay Morris

She is the queen of the hobo’s
With wilted flower bouquet
In her arms…
With dirty ribbons and bows…
...and a crown on her greasy hair.
In the poor side of town…
You see her pushing her shopping cart.
On her left arm is a tattoo of…
The Sacred Heart.

The palace guards are marching in a parade of tramps.
They came far away from homeless camps.
…The bag ladies curtsies
…And the winos take a bow
The king wears a headdress that is an old towel.
Everybody is invited to the Beggars Ball.
They came in droves one and all.
They built a bond fire in the middle of Skid Row.
Every one wore jackets from The Good Will.
To keep them warm from the winter cold.
Some were young. Some were old.
The queen was going to address her subjects.

She stood on a stack of pallets then spoke in a majestic tone.
Her voice was soft but strong.
She said: Tell every one from Peking to Rome…
We are not homeless!
Mother Earth is our home.

Are you getting sick of hearing the name of Trump yet?

Think of what will it be like if he's elected president? I write about this in my blog[link:http://stephenjaymorrisblog.tumblr.com/|
