I wish Bernie could win but he can't.

He would be my candidate, I would support him as long as he was in the race. That said, he is not electable. He has been an admitted "Socialist." The far right would have a field day with that. While most of them could not even define a socialist, the word itself would keep Senator Sanders from being elected president.

Democrats do not know how to use their power when they can.

After Obama was elected we had a filibuster proof majority in the Senate, and the House. We should have gotten a lot more done. Instead, Limbaugh, Hannity, and the right wing noise machine started barking and the Dems backed down. We lost the Congress in 2010, and now the Senate. I'm not sure who to blame. Why could Obama get voters to turn out in 2008 and 2012, but the same voters stayed home in 2010, and 2014?

If you ask me, the Democrats are either total wimps, or else they are almost as bought off by corporate whores as the Republicans. It may take years to repair the damage of this past election.

Reagan actually screwed working folks when he eliminated "loopholes."

In the 1950's the wealthy paid a tax rate of 92 percent on everything they made over 100 grand. Of course no one with a brain ever paid at that rate because there were great incentives to invest in things that stimulated our economy. Things like affordable housing, and other job creating ventures. We had the strongest economy in the history of our country in the 1950's and the 1960's.

Today, the wealthy have no real incentive to invest in our economy. They mostly just put their money in the bank or in the Cayman Islands. Reagan cut the top tax rate all the way down to 29 percent, after it had been reduced to 75 percent by 1980. When Clinton raised it to 39 percent the far right went crazy.

Why aren't health care costs 100 percent tax deductible?

Now it's only a small percentage. Would this not make healthcare a bit more affordable?

Dow is up to 17,613. It's Obama's fault!!!!

WE BETTER ELECT A FEW MORE WINGNUTS.

Ted Cruz calls net neutrality "Obamacare" for the internet."

That guy is such an asshole. Does he EVER want anything that doesn't favor the top 1%.

I said from the start Democrats were not defending Obama enough.

This has been the case since the start of his presidency. Many supporters thought all they had to do was elect him and everything would be OK. This was also the case when Clinton won in 1992. Over the next few years the Democrats allowed the looney right to define their president. The only time this didn't work was in 2012 when Obama could define himself.

We should have been out there standing up to the tea party. Instead we pretty much let them get away with all of their lies. Some of this has to fall at the feet of Obama who never did understand how to make people aware of his accomplishments. I think his advisers, especially the Chicago one's, like Valerie Jarrett, are tone deaf.

No sane person can argue that the country isn't better off today than it was in January of 2009. Had a Republican president had the same record on the economy, we would have never heard the end of it. Hell, had Romney gotten elected he would have been out there taking credit for what Obama has done.

When Obama was first in office and trying to pass the stimulus, I said that he is going to lose support fast of the people who elected him didn't get out and stand up for him. Right wingers for all of their faults, NEVER give up. They are like cockroaches. They just keep on coming.

The cowardly way the Democrats ran away from Obama this election was pitiful. Republican's stand by their president's even when they suck like Bush.

To show how pathetic the turn out was. Look to Virginia.

In 2012- 3,794,342 voted in the state.

In 2014- 2,179,235 voted in the state.

That is 1,605,197 fewer voters from 2012 to 2014.

Republicans feast on low turn out.

Now do you think Ruth B. Ginsberg should have stepped down?

If Obama gets another court choice, which I doubt, it will be a center right moderate. In my opinion, it was selfish for Ruth Bader Ginsberg, to insist on staying on. While I appreciate her service, it was clearly time. I'm not sure Breyer should not have gone as well.

Time to dump the entire democratic leadership. Bring back Howard Dean.

Harry Reid, Pelosi, and probably Hoyer. We need new faces.
