The FL Governor race just got a whole lot more interesting!
Got this email from Andrew Gillums Campaign:
Our public schools are underfunded and our teachers are underpaid. Last year, our state ranked 47th in average instructional staff pay. Teachers are struggling to make ends meet, and our kids and their education are suffering.
That's why I've proposed a bold new plan to legalize and tax recreational marijuana -- so we can invest new revenue into giving our teachers and instructional staff the raise they deserve. We're going to make sure every teacher and support staff member earns at least the national average, reward our veteran teachers for their years of service, and raise the starting salary for new teachers.
A majority of Floridians support it, and states across the country are modernizing their criminal justice systems by legalizing as well. It's time Florida joins them. Chip in $5 now to help make it a reality.
