A Twitter thread on Mr. Rogers that will make you smile..

As Manchester remained chaotic last night, this Mr. Rogers quote was offered up from many on line, as advice and to comfort, to regain perspective:

From this month's Atlantic magazine, "My Family's Slave"

Written by the late Alex Tizon...

A story that just emptied my heart...gut wrenching...but had to be told. May Lola be remembered always ~

https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2017/06/lolas-story/524490/

Her name was Eudocia Tomas Pulido. We called her Lola. She was 4 foot 11, with mocha-brown skin and almond eyes that I can still see looking into mine—my first memory. She was 18 years old when my grandfather gave her to my mother as a gift, and when my family moved to the United States, we brought her with us. No other word but slave encompassed the life she lived. Her days began before everyone else woke and ended after we went to bed. She prepared three meals a day, cleaned the house, waited on my parents, and took care of my four siblings and me. My parents never paid her, and they scolded her constantly. She wasn’t kept in leg irons, but she might as well have been. So many nights, on my way to the bathroom, I’d spot her sleeping in a corner, slumped against a mound of laundry, her fingers clutching a garment she was in the middle of folding.

Yesterday, amid all of the administration's efforts to discredit Comey, the FBI simply tweeted this:

Those RICO charges are gonna sting, Donnie...gonna hurt real bad. And, for what it's worth, I don't think you'll find any gold leafed prison cells....so brace yourself, puddin'

Trump: how to shut down Russia/watergate comparisons...

I know, I'll fire the director of the FBI and then have Kissenger over for a photo op right after my meeting with a snarky Russian

And in an Allegedly unrelated note, BITCOIN showing some interesting traffic

Standard Twitter Disclaimer, proceed at your own risk ~

But this is an interesting thread illustrating multi-million $ payments being moved in and around Wikileaks

Trumps personal bodyguard delivered firing letter to FBI

Comey was in LA and found out by seeing it on TV that he was fired....

How is this happening...and isn't this exactly the kind of presidency we expected out of Trump?

Staggering ~

Understanding Human Politics

"Rules for Rulers" breaks down the differences between Democracies and Dictatorships and the reasons they exist or die. Very well done. Highly recommend...and it's a cartoon...so that's, y'know, fun ~
