Just a reminder on Memorial Day weekend

This Holiday is meant to respect the men and women who died in service. So, I'm asking, respectfully, that the "thanks for your service" and reunion posts be held back until Veterans day.

Please let us honor our war dead on the day set aside to honor our dead.

Honor our living veterans on Veterans Day in a couple months, please stop mixing it up.

I know - Daddy and Mommy coming home videos are awesome, but this weekend?

They just amount to a whitewash of the cost of war and do not honor our war dead.

RIP Uncle Robert, we still remember.

They will go back on the road, because the Hip go on the road. It's their truest home.

To Republicans, being a Republican is all that matters

Identity within the tribe is vastly more important than any other factor.

Huffington Post has released a poll showing that since Trump became the presumptive nominee his support among Hispanics has risen to 28%.

The same level of support that other recent Republican candidates have received.

"71% of the cops killed so far this year have been killed by white dudes.

White people comprise 63.7% of the population. Divide that by two and you have 31.85% (OK, really 31.3%, since men comprise 49.2% of the population.)

So white men are killing cops at better than twice their percentage of the population.

Listen for the outrage about that and all you'll hear are crickets chirping away."
