Massachusetts & Rhode Island Telephone Workers Unions Endorse Bernie Sanders For President
-snip-
Boston, MALeaders of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) System Council T-6 announced Thursday that they have voted unanimously to support the candidacy of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders for President of the United States.
Bernie Sanders is the clear choice for working people, every union should be supporting Bernie for President said Myles Calvey, Business Manager of IBEW Local 2222 and chair of the System Council T-6, which represents seven local unions in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Labor unions should always be guided by a moral compass and must support only those candidates for office that share our values and champion the causes important to the working class. The majority of our members work for Verizon, who despite recording profits in excess of $1 Billion dollars per month, is actively trying to cut healthcare benefits for retirees on a fixed income. Senator Sanders is not only talking about this inequality, he has spent his life fighting to eliminate it.

Newsweek article on Bernie Sanders "B-B-B-Bernie and the Jets"
-snip-
As Bernie Sanders surges in Iowa and New Hampshire polls, many Americans are hearing the presidential candidate rage against the billionaire class for the first time. What they dont know is what his fellow Vermonters know: The 74-year-old socialist seeking the Democratic nomination operates less like a rabble-rouser at home and more like most other U.S. senators: delivering services for veterans, Medicare for the elderly and defense spending for their state.

Rep. Timothy Smith State Rep. of NH endorsement of Bernie Sanders
-snip-
I had intentionally waited to make any formal endorsement until after the municipal primary, but the time has come. I am supporting, and endorsing, Senator Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign. My endorsement is an individual one, and does not represent any group, committee, or panel that I may be a part of.
Senator Sanders policy views are the best path forward for our nation. Out of all the candidates in either party he has the most practical, realistic, and reliable vision for how to improve the lives of ordinary Americans, start to tackle the federal budget deficit, and reintroduce the concept of justice to the domestic economy. Almost every single issue I consider to be important is a central pillar of his campaign platform. For the other candidates, they are either on the opposite side or have adopted key issues as afterthoughts and haven't been campaigning on them. Examples include cracking down on wall street corruption, fighting crony capitalism, returning to a more progressive tax structure and closing tax loopholes, fundamental campaign finance reform, opposition to unbalanced trade deals, and expanding access to higher education by reducing-or-eliminating tuition.
