A needed step in IMO. If you want to move to a progressive western country, you should not start preaching about how gay people or jews are sinners and should be killed.

Self defense or excessive force?

I wonder if this family face a future lawsuit. Id like to hear what other people thing about this situation.

"According to the homeowner," police said, "he was bound in the bathroom by the suspect. The homeowner said he was able to free himself, fought with the suspect and sustained a stab wound to the back side of his shoulder."

The man, his wife and his child were held in the bathroom, police said. The situation turned when the wife was allowed to leave the bathroom at some point, police said.

"The wife returned with a handgun and fired one shot believing to strike McCloud. After the husband's bonds were cut by the wife, the husband took control of the weapon and fired additional shots striking McCloud," police said. "The family then ran outside and flagged a motorist and asked them to call 911."

I don't think there was anything wrong with the first shot, but when the husband took the weapon from the wife and shot the intruder serveral more times could that be considered not in self defense?

Abbott Labs fires American IT workers and replaces them with H1B Visa guest workers

In yet another case of ‘knowledge transfer’ through H-1B visa and L-1 visa workers, the Illinois-based health care company Abbott Laboratories has allegedly awarded an outsourcing contract to the India-based IT servicing giant Wipro, to provide tech workers who will replace existing workers at the company.

Sen. Dick Durbin, the Illinois Democrat, has complained to Abbott about the issue, reported The Chicago Tribune. In a letter to CEO Miles White released Monday, the senator urged Abbott to cancel the layoffs.

“It should go without saying that such harsh and insensitive conduct is not justified by whatever marginal financial benefit might accrue to your company, which is already making billions of dollars in profits every year,” Durbin wrote.

I hope trump beats cruz

While trump is an asshole and a racist, Cruz really scares me. Hes the type of guy who would just love to take away every safety net from the poor and tell them all to fuck off and die while smiling.

With trump trying to tout a bible, then saying he would ban all muslims, then saying he would "enact universal health care", then saying he would build a wall ... his positions are mostly all over the place sometimes even contradicting right wing dogma but he seems like hes just running to feed his ego. And once he has the power he would probably go play golf or tour the world proclaiming how great he is.

8 Years Trump of doing nothing or trying to ban all muslims (which would never pass) wouldn't be nearly as bad as 8 years of cruz.

Cruz is an Ann rand ideologue. Hes way more dangerous. While I believe Clinton or Bernie would beat him straight up I don't even want to take that chance.

He really is pond scum. The lowest of the low.

oh wow.... Hillary tells aide to send classified email to personal because classified wasn't working

I work as a contractor for the DOD, not only will this get your clearance revoked, but it could land you in prison. Unlike sending classified information to an unclassified email by mistake, this was done willfully just to save some time.

The similarities are jaw dropping, if you haven't played half life 2, the first video is a compilation of audio segments from random parts of the game from the games antagonist fascist dictator who you eventually topple. The NRA uses the exact same 'it's life or death we need to fight these dangerous fascists' mannerisms against Obama / democrats / media that the fascist leader uses against you as the freedom fighter / protagonist in the game half life 2. This similarity is almost frightening. I swear you cant make this stuff up.

Ted Cruz wants to raise the minimum wage to $110,000. Hilary Clinton silent.

Bernie Sanders has stated his support stopping H1B Visa abuse, and now of all people TED FREAKING CRUZ just put a bill forward that would:

-raise the minimum wage of H1B Visa holders from 65,000 to 110,000
-requires company's to prove they reached out to an american tech worker and he rejected the offer.
-would ban any company from using H1B visa workers for 2 YEARS if workers at that company went on strike or held a lockout

So if Bernie Sanders loses the democratic nomination and 2016 is Clinton vs Cruz, how many independent / center tech workers would this move to the right?

Would Hilary Clinton support this bill? Or would she have to talk with her mega doners to see if they would allow it first?
