13-Year-Old With Replica Gun Shot By Baltimore Police Officers

Source: CBS

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A 13-year-old boy is shot by police in Southeast Baltimore.

It happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday at Baltimore and Aisquith streets, near the McKim Community Center.
The police commissioner says a young man was carrying what appeared to be a gun in his hand. It was actually a replica semi-automatic pistol.

When two officers approached the boy, he tried to flee on foot.
An officer then discharged his weapon, striking the young man.

The boy’s mother told police he left home with what she described as a BB gun in his hand.
The young man is expected to survive his injuries.

I played with BB and cap guns all the time when I was a kid. Can't do that anymore.

I hope he recovers

A fun little clip but Bernie should have took it back to the line before taking a second shot.

We Fact Checked Trump’s Claim That ‘Virtually Every Single’ Legal Expert Believes Clinton Committed

"During his victory lap after Tuesday’s big five state win, Donald Trump relished in taking aim at his presumptive Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton. He couldn’t resist mentioning the FBI’s email investigation, and how “it’s an absolute criminal outrage.”

“Whether I read about it in the paper, or I watch it with legal experts on television, virtually every single one of them said what she did is a criminal act. What she did is a very dangerous thing for our country and here she is running,” he told reporters.

So as a legal website, we had to fact check this one. Does ‘virtually every single’ legal expert really believe Clinton committed a crime? The answer is no. In fact, legal experts are pretty divided. While there are several very credible legal minds who say she should be indicted based on the evidence, there are also plenty who believe she didn’t do anything legally wrong."

Here's a pretty even handed article.

4,800-year-old fossil of mother cradling baby found in Taiwan

"Archaeologists in Taiwan have found a 4,800-year-old human fossil of a mother holding an infant child in her arms, museum officials said on Tuesday.

The 48 sets of remains unearthed in graves in the Taichung area are the earliest trace of human activity found in central Taiwan. The most striking discovery among them was the skeleton of a young mother looking down at a child cradled in her arms.

“When it was unearthed, all of the archaeologists and staff members were shocked. Why? Because the mother was looking down at the baby in her hands,” said Chu Whei-lee, a curator in the Anthropology Department at Taiwan’s National Museum of Natural Science.""

Pentagon to test F-35 against A-10 in 'common sense' war scenario showdown

Source: Stars and Stripes

WASHINGTON – A showdown might soon settle one of the U.S. military’s biggest air power controversies.
The high-tech and expensive F-35 Joint Strike Fighter will face off in upcoming testing with the Air Force’s aging close-air-support stalwart, the A-10 Thunderbolt II, the director of the Defense Department operational test and evaluation office said Tuesday.

The battlefield comparison “makes common sense” and will pit the two airframes against each other in a variety of war scenarios this year, Michael Gilmore said during Senate testimony.

The department is in the midst of developing the F-35 – the most expensive procurement program in its history – to take over the A-10’s four-decade-old role of supporting ground forces with its titanium armor and powerful nose cannon. But the move is opposed by infantry troops and members of Congress who believe the A-10 is uniquely capable of saving lives on the battlefield.

“To me, comparison testing just makes common sense,” Gilmore said. “If you’re spending a lot of money to get improved capability, that’s the easiest way to demonstrate it is to do a rigorous comparison test.”

Arizona Poll Worker Confirms Rigged Primary — Testifies Her Machine Gave Out Wrong Ballots

"As the Free Thought Project reported, voter suppression in Maricopa County, and the rest of Arizona ran rampant last month during the primary. The number of polling locations was drastically reduced, leaving many voters with a wait time of 5 hours just to vote. Others were left with no voting locations at all.

The election rigging was so obvious that a hearing was held the following week in the House Gallery to discuss possible courses of action to correct it.

On Monday, during the hearing on the election challenge, a Maricopa County poll worker testified the computer system she used to check in voters would not allow her to give the correct ballots to voters.

The testimony from Dianne Post confirmed the rampant voter suppression and election rigging which led to the hearing taking place. Post, who is an attorney in Maricopa County, testified that a machine she was using to check in voters at a location failed to give 36 people the proper ballot.

It got worse.

According to Post, another 22 people at her location were listed in the wrong party and their polling place ran out of ballots for at least two congressional districts.

“Every single time it happened to me it was a Democratic voter who wasn’t able to access a Democratic ballot,” she said.

Post was only one person in one station, the allegations of suppression spread throughout the state.

Post’s testimony was backed up by Alisa Wolfe, a resident of Pima County, who testified her voter registration was improperly changed from Democrat to independent, according to the AP."

I'm so glad that there wasn't any big issues yesterday.

To Clear the Air, Sanders Should Challenge New York Vote

In November 2004, the officially announced results of the Ukrainian presidential election differed from exit polling by 12%.

U.S. officials officially cried fraud.

Last Tuesday, the results of the New York primary between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders differed from exit polling by 12%.

Tim Robbins has cried fraud, and the Washington Post’s most consistent Clinton hack this cycle is leading the charge in mocking him.

A friend of mine, a Sanders supporter who acted as a poll worker in Brooklyn, initially saw nothing wrong, suggesting that a bunch of people, who were ineligible to vote, cast provisional ballots for Sanders and then told exit pollsters that they voted accordingly. My friend, who has not given me specific permission to use their name, worked a precinct in the Greenpoint neighborhood, Sanders’ best in New York City. About one-third of all ballots were cast provisionally in that precinct.

But that would not explain why exit polling has been so bad in fifteen other states, missing consistently to Clinton’s benefit and outside the margin of error in eight states with open or mixed primaries."
