[Serious] Why should I vote FOR Clinton?

The last thread went to hell in a fat hurry. Here's the question again:

Usually, when I ask this question, people respond with reasons to NOT vote for Sanders. Since there is a brand-new wave of OPs telling us Sanders is toast and Hillary will be the nominee, I suppose the time for relative comparisons has passed. So what are the positives? If I cast a vote in favor of Hillary Clinton, what ideas and policies am I casting a vote in favor of?

If you're here to take a jab at Clinton, at Sanders, or even at me, please go do that in the old thread so that this one stays clear. Thanks.

This is so exciting!

The fight over DNC favoritism and shady financing deals is finally going down.

Here's a comment from reddit:
So the Hillary Victory Fund is this:
The DNC, Hillary campaign, and 32 states.
Voter donation limits to individual campaigns are $2700
Limit Donation to a state Democratic Party is: $10000 per state
Max donation to the DNC is: $33,400 to the dollar.
32 states have a "stake" in her victory fund, meaning they are looking for a return on their investment.
What Hillary is doing currently is having people donating $10000 to each state through this victory fund, and $33400 to the DNC. But the issue is, that most of the money is going into this fund for her campaign, but she promises these states and the DNC a senate majority. That is why superdelegates pledged so early on. This is where the problem is. It is laundering money through this fund into her campaign.
Let's calculate this: $10000 x 32 states = $320,000
$320,000 + $33400 max donation to the DNC = WHAT DO YA KNOW? $353,400.
Think that clooney dinner donation price was a coincidence?

True or false, it's getting a ton of attention and shaping the discussion.

Couple that with the big voter disaster in AZ and widespread allegations of a purge in NY.

Even the WaPo has an angle on the interesting pattern of shenanigans in this race.

Last year the FEC just said "Fuck it."

Political discussion boards have lit up with shillers and new accounts in just the last few hours. NONE of them are talking about the Pope anymore. Reddit's a total disaster. Even the ancient usenet groups are fired up.

Huge tide going one way. Equally huge tide going the other. No matter what, tomorrow is going to change us.

This whole Vatican thing has been hilarious

Bernie confirms he will visit the Vatican.

HE WASN'T INVITED!

Vatican confirms he was invited.

HE ASKED TO BE INVITED!

Vatican confirms he did not ask.

WELL, HE ISN'T GOING TO EVEN SPEAK!

Vatican confirms he's going to speak.

BUT IT'S ONLY TEN MINUTES!

Vatican schedule lists multiple attendees who don't even speak.

HA! HE ISN'T EVEN MEETING THE POPE!

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/bernie-sander-meets-pope-francis-during-visit-vatican-city-n556991

YEAH, WELL...THE POPE'S AN ASSHOLE!

I don't understand how people think this behavior translates into support of Hillary. She simply had nothing to do with it and all the screaming around here, if anything, makes her look bad by implication. Honest discussion of issues would go a lot further and not suffer any blowback.

Campaign finance reform: yea or nay?

https://www.opensecrets.org/outsidespending/summ.php?disp=D

$14,140,000 == 975 working years at $7.50/hour.

I support Sanders, working hard to stop this nonsense by disavowing super PACs and proving a competitive national campaign doesn't need to pander to the wealthy.

The actual difference between Bernie and Hillary

Hillary's approach is to work within the existing system, using the same tools and methods that are used today. That approach explains why so many honestly believe that she can "get things done" and why Hillary always emphasizes her political connections. Hillary is the establishment candidate despite denying the "establishment" label.

Bernie's approach is to work on rebuilding the system itself--to change the corrupted tools and methods the politicians use. That's why he has rallied the support of the pissed off and frustrated regardless of party. People having experienced the way we all got pushed into destroying Iraq, patients having endured illness and pain for years that they simply cannot afford to treat, generations growing up without their parents thanks to the drug war, suspects--often innocent-- beaten senseless or outright murdered by untouchable cops, etc. It's no surprise at all that so many are in favor of some fundamental changes.

I don't think Hillary is actually that bad, but I do think that her approach is woefully insufficient given the enormous scale of the problem and election after election of politicians who promise to represent us, but then only represent wealthy donors (Obama never did manage to find his comfortable shoes). Those who know they can't afford to purchase representation under today's rules and those who want to make a better nation are the ones supporting Bernie---despite the odds, against the relentless claims of impossibility, and in defiance of calls to give up.

Fracking: yea or nay?

I've worked in the oil fields and seen the ridiculous pollution and disregard for the environment.

I'm voting for Sanders, firmly against fracking.
