Does a 3rd party help or hurt us down ticket?

I am having to repost because last time people seemed to not read the post as it had nothing to do with DEMOCRATS voting for a third party...but instead us as Dems sniping votes from 3rd party people for our down ticket races. I am merely wondering if we face a liberal third party this election and Trump does not face one will it hurt or help us. I am wondering if a party like the green party helps us down ticket as it gets out people our party does not. I remember with Gore I had several hardcore environmental friends that did not vote for him because of a vote he did on a dam...but they still voted in the election (I think if Gore was not good enough to pull people from Nader no other democrat would have been good enough either, so it was not that some of these ever would have voted for the Dem ticket). My question is do these third parties help us in the House and Senate? Or do they not vote down ticket since they are not Democrats. I looked for statistics on if Perot or Nader hit down tickets..and in Florida Democrats did win the senate seat...and over all they won seats in the 2000 election.
The general rundown does not show the green picking up votes in the senate the Dems won with 51.04% (2,989,487)...

Senate race... (sorry they don't display because of they want people to go to the main site)

But in the Presidential race the Green party picked up 1.63% and Gore had 2,912,253...which is less than the Senator got.

That shows that something does happen, but if they have their own people running in the down ticket race it may not help.

Indiana had low turn out for Dems, but not for Reps!.

Bernie always wins with higher turn out, but this one was record low. We did ABOUT 50% OF 2008 and the republicans did over 200% of 2008???

2008
McCain, John Sidney, III 320,308 77.62%
Huckabee, Michael Dale "Mike" 41,173 9.98%
Paul, Ronald Ernest "Ron" 31,611 7.66%
Romney, Mitt 19,581 4.74%

412,673

2016
Trump 583,462 53.2
Cruz 401,959 36.7
985,421

238.78%

vs

2008
Clinton, Hillary Rodham 646,253 50.56%
Obama, Barack Hussein 632,061 49.44%
1,278,314

2016
Sanders 332,516 52.5
Clinton 300,851 47.5
633,367

49.54%

BTW Dems got

64.27% of the votes the Republicans got.

That is wild.

Why the hate for Larry at the WHCD???

The general response from WHCD attendees and those who watched the event on TV has been generally negative. Detractors suggested Wilmore’s performance was a missed opportunity to draw viewers to his “Nightly Show,” which has struggled to match the audience of “The Colbert Report,” his predecessor in the 11:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday timeslot.

Everybody Seemed Pretty Mad at Larry Wilmore at the White House Correspondents' Dinner

The article is supportive of him but it is talking about how people were not amused.

I am ashamed by people's responses, they attacked him for using "nigga", which is nothing close to the "N-Word" since one is used by people in a term of affection and never existed back in the day...also they had the same rage when Obama used it. I think he used it to show solidarity and to say a bit of a F-you to the overly white room, pointing out to them that Obama was the first mother F-ing black president!
