If you're Bernie or Bust, then arguing "we need Bernie to beat Trump" is disingenuous.

Even if you are dumb enough to believe that the polls showing Bernie leading Trump by more than Hillary mean anything at this stage, it's still totally disingenuous. Bernie or Bust (aka Bernie or Trump) means if you don't get Bernie, you're willing to let Trump win. Because stopping Trump is not very important to you.

Bernie or Bust people obviously don't care about stopping Trump, they only care about the one great savior Bernie. That's why it's called Bernie or Bust. If it's not Bernie, then it's Bust. Stopping Trump doesn't matter, only Bernie matters.

So you can stop pretending to care about stopping Trump, nobody believes you.

You know what? Compared to the whole world, I'm a far left pinko commie.

I mean, I'm on the left side of almost every political argument I have in real life. With Dems, with GOPs, whoever. Then I come here, and I'm some kind of corporate apologist. This place is not the real world. I mean, not at all. It's not even the Democratic world. It's not even the liberal wing of the Democratic world.

I come here and say something like, yeah, fracking is dirty, but natural gas is a cleaner source of energy than coal, and until we build up renewable infrastructure, it's coal or nat gas. This is just a plain fact. And suddenly I'm a right-winger! Unreal.

Literally people want to burn more coal and emit more CO2, not to mention the damage that strip mining does, simply because of the word "fracking". I guess we're supposed to just pretend that we have 100% renewable electricity, even though we obviously don't and won't for a long time. And not living in that fantasy world is selling out to the oligarchs or whatever. Because there are no coal oligarchs, only natural gas oligarchs.

And that's not the only issue, just the one that happened recently. It's eye-opening, and maybe encouraging in a weird way. Now I'm like, OK, there are crazy people on the right, we knew that, all of them are really, but boy there are some on the left too. I'm like the reasonable moderate.

It may not seem like it now, but Bernie's going to look like a real ass when

all the pledged delegates have been elected and he's trailing by between 200 and 300 of them, if he still insists that he should be the nominee.

For now he can get by with his Forrest Gump impression when anyone asks him about delegate math, but once Hillary hits the mark, no more. He's going to have to own the fact that he's trying to overturn the voters by using superdelegates, trying to get establishment insiders to push him up against the will of the people.

There's no way to do that without looking like a total ass.

Here's what's gonna happen with the FBI thing.

They're gonna say that Hillary broke rule xyz and that it was very bad of her, rule xyz is a very important rule. Bad Hillary. And then they are going to say that despite breaking the very serious rule xyz, it doesn't rise to a criminal offense that can be prosecuted.

After that Berners and Trumpers will be outraged. And a bunch of not-a-lawyer-but-i-play-one-on-the-internet people are going to explain in great detail why the FBI is wrong and how everything is corrupt, and how a private email server is just as bad as a triple homicide.

And then Hillary will be the next president.

If you can't stand any Dem besides Bernie, then you're the one who's a "fake Democrat."

It's not logical that like 95% of Democrats are "fake" and only the handful that Berners haven't dismissed as corporate establishment stooges are the "real" ones.

Only 7 more days of Bernie!

7 days until the first female major party nominee in US history!

If Berners don't want to be called right-wingers.

Then Berners should stop repeating right-wing smears.

Bernie's selections for the platform committee give speeches for money.

Cornel West does.
James Zogby does.
Bill McKibben does.

Don't know about Deborah Parker. Keith Ellison doesn't, because members of Congress are prohibited from doing that. Once he's out of congress, I'd guess he will. But for now, he hasn't.

Has there been any outrage from the "speaking fee" crowd about this?

Bernie or Busters think they are special, but in truth, Trump has tens of millions of supporters.

And the Bernie or Bust people are actually a pretty small fraction of Trump's constituency. They think by pretending to be progressive, they are more important than people who wave Trump signs, but they aren't.

I wish Hillary hadn't used a personal email server.

That was dumb. Did she endanger national security? Obviously not. Did she break any laws? No. Is it a non-scandal? Yes and no. It wasn't a big deal in any meaningful way, but it's going to have political consequences. It already has.

I wish she hadn't done it in the same way that I wish Kerry hadn't done whatever thing I still haven't figured out that he did that got him swiftboated. Except this is worse because Kerry didn't imagine he was going to be running for president when he did whatever nothing thing that he did. She should have know, she's a Clinton.

Am I worried about Trump? Hell yes! How can you be sane and not be?

Is Hillary probably going to win? Yes. Oddsmakers have it in her favor about 65-35, Trump has gotten the post-clinching bump and she hasn't, and most Bernie or Bust people will come to their senses by November.

Would it be better for superdelegates to put in Bernie instead? No, no, no. Bernie's not vetted at all, he's had no digging into his past, no attacks on "socialism", and he's got a platform of huge tax increases. Not to mention that if the superdelegates overturn the candidate that primary voters chose by over 10 points, there's going to be a Hillary or Bust movement with just as much or more ferocity.

So here we are. We have Hillary. She messed up with the email thing. I wish she hadn't, but she'll still probably beat Trump.

But nobody knows what's going to happen, Trump might win, which is terrifying.
