History of tiny hands

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/history-donald-trump-small-hands-insult/story?id=37395515

Nearly 30 years ago, Graydon Carter, the editor of Vanity Fair magazine, described Trump in Spy magazine as a “short-fingered vulgarian.”

In an editor’s letter in "Vanity Fair" last November, Carter said that he wrote the Sky magazine comment in 1988 "just to drive him a little bit crazy."

And according to Carter, it still does.

"Like so many bullies, Trump has skin of gossamer," Carter wrote in November.

"To this day, I receive the occasional envelope from Trump. There is always a photo of him—generally a tear sheet from a magazine. On all of them he has circled his hand in gold Sharpie in a valiant effort to highlight the length of his fingers," Carter wrote. "I almost feel sorry for the poor fellow because, to me, the fingers still look abnormally stubby."

sniffling groper would use Oval Office to settle scores

http://www.salon.com/2016/05/31/trump_wants_revenge_his_hunger_to_be_president_is_all_about_gaining_power_to_settle_petty_personal_scores/

Increasingly, the evidence is pointing to a certain conclusion: Donald Trump is running for president because he believes the power and fame of the White House will allow him to settle the score in his ever-expanding list of petty grievances.

Sure, there are other things he likes about it, like the attention and the opportunity to slap the word “Trump” in gold lettering across the front of the desk in the Oval Office, are motivating factors. But for those who have been following the campaign closely, it’s hard to ignore the fact that Trump spends much, perhaps most of his time, honing an enemies list of people he imagines have personally slighted him and fantasizing out loud about putting them and anyone he associates with them in their place.

Farah Stockman and Keith Bradsher of The New York Times published a piece Monday detailing a major grudge that Trump holds against a group of Chinese investors that helped save him from a financial crisis in the ’90s. He made a lucrative deal with this group of Hong Kong billionaires to sell them the Bank of America building on Avenue of the Americas, allowing him 30% of the profits and paying him feeds to develop the building. In 2005, they sold the building for $1.76 billion.

Native groups from all over the world came together to protest the Dakota pipeline

http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2016/10/how-dakota-access-pipeline-protests-launched-global-movement

By the time three federal government agencies issued their joint statement halting construction of the Dakota Access pipeline on September 9, there were some 5,000 protesters on site in Cannon Ball, North Dakota challenging the project. The groups spreadout over a massive campsite on the Standing Rock Sioux reservation, where the tribe says the proposed construction of the pipeline threatens their water source and sacred lands.

After hearing about the Standing Rock resistance, Native groups from all over the world came to stand in solidarity with the Sioux, traveling from Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and the Ecuadorian Amazon. The thousands of demonstrators represented some 280 different indigenous tribes, by far the largest Native American protest in recent memory and perhaps one of the largest ever recorded.

The maggot insults women, Pence puts them in danger

http://www.vox.com/identities/2016/10/6/13174852/mike-pence-trump-vp-debate-abortion-women-dangerous

Donald Trump is turning American political norms upside down in many ways, and the way he treats women is no exception. Trump’s misogynistic comments are so brazen and crude, and his alleged history of lewd behavior so long and rampant, that it’s almost hard to believe.

But the obviousness of Trump’s sexism is also what makes it dangerous. Trump is threatening to shift the center of gravity of what we consider “sexism” and lower our expectations for what counts as an attack on women.

Take Trump’s running mate Mike Pence, for instance. Most pundits declared Pence the winner of Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate. He came across as the sane, stable grown-up, in sharp contrast to Trump (and, for that matter, his Democratic rival Tim Kaine). There’s already speculation that Pence is setting himself up for a 2020 presidential run if Trump loses, and that his style could be the moderate future the GOP needs.

Latino Evangelicals Endorse Clinton Over Trump

An organization representing more than 6,000 Latino evangelical churches in the U.S. is endorsing Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump.

In a statement Thursday, the group OPEN USA says Clinton has proven her willingness to engage in difficult conversations, listen to contrasting opinions and engage faith leaders.

OPEN USA says faith has played a central role in the lifelong commitment to public service of both Clinton and her running mate, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine. The group says the Democrats' commitment to public service is exemplified through their campaign's focus on embracing diverse perspectives and creating an inclusive America

The group offers no direct criticism of Trump, but says it is confident that Clinton and Kaine will represent the community well.
