DDySiegs's JournalBorowitz's quote is right on target
Americans - ALL of them - need be educated in how to recognize their own (individual) SELF - INTERESTS. For decade after decade, we have seen people in some of the poorest states repeatedly voting for rapaciously wealthy Rs who constantly screw them over and suck them dry. Education of this kind - which has for so long been deliberately denied in this country- would, within a single generation, largely end this baleful situation.
In My Opinion Kennedy Feels Self Entitled to this Senate Seat
If Kennedy has shown any initiative in Massachusetts 4th congressional district in the 4 terms since he succeeded Barney Frank, I (a resident of that district) am unaware of it. Indeed if he had done anything noteworthy, wouldnt it have shown up in his his campaign tv spots?
In my view Kennedy feels - because one of his great uncles was the President of the U S over a half century ago, another great uncle was a notable and long term Massachusetts Senator, and his grand father was the US Attorney General and a New York senator - that he is entitled to the senate seat. (My guess is he views this senate seat as mere stepping stone to the White House.)
I am quite disappointed in Speaker Pelosis announcement
BTW My wife and I have already voted in this primary - for Markey
Ask Yourself Why Bolton Told A. G. Barr About Trump's Actions
Perhaps the answer is to be found in the Federal Criminal Code - 18 US Code Sect. 4 - Misprision of a Felony
Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
Interesting that Bolton should pick A G Barr (an other person in civil or military authority under the United States) to tell about Trumps behavior.
The Three Monkeys as Revised by Trump
Donald Trump at factory in Allentown PA said this today:
When you test, you have a case. When you test, you find something is wrong with people. If we didnt do any testing we would have very few cases.
The 3 monkeys as revised: Test no Evil, Mask no Evil, There is no Evil.
Invading A Soverign Nation --Violation of International Law???
I am certainly no expert, but Sovereign Nations like those in control of the Lokota Tribal Lands lying within the state of South Dakota may well be entitled to redress in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Hague. If the governor orders armed police or National Guard units to enter reservation lands without permission from the Tribes (i.e., to invade these tribal lands) the Tribes might have standing to lodge a complaint alleging War Crimes or Crimes Against Humanity against the state of South Dakota, Governor Noem, and/or the Federal Government in the ICJ.
To Call This Irony is to Give Irony a Bad Name
In an article about the hearing this morning in lawsuit by Kansas Governor Kelly to reinstate the ban on in-person Easter services, the following two paragraphs appear:
The Kansas Supreme Court heard oral arguments Saturday morning in a lawsuit that Gov. Laura Kelly filed against the Legislative Coordinating Council for blocking Executive Order 20-18.
All seven Supreme Court Justices and counsel from both sides were on a livestream video conference to argue the case.
To describe this situation as being ironic just doesnt do it justice.

Results From WI Next Week, Announced in Advance!
Since I knew from , I believe Politico, before, yes before, Tuesday 4-7-20 - primary day, we can assume - with a level of nearly absolute certainty that Sanders and his campaign knew this fact before election day, as well. Yet Sanders waited until today - AFTER people physically went into voting lines in wisconsin - thus increasing their risk from COVID-19 and risk of death. In my view Sanders may have blood on his hands as a result of waiting until today to drop out. He has no excuse, he knew in advance that there would be NO results from WI primary UNTIL NEXT WEEK. Therefore his decision to drop out had NOTHING, NOTHING, to do with WI primary or its results. He could have dropped Monday or last weekend, but he didnt. What a complete jerk!
