About posts that seem to be complaining that Twitler can't get any legislation passed

They note, quite correctly, that he is in way over his head and doesn't have a clue what he is doing. Imagine how much worse this would be if he was smart? If he really was the Great Deal Maker? As much as he worries me, I'm beginning to think that he is going to turn out to be more bluster than anything else. IMO, as long as we stay vigilant and keep resisting, I think we will be ok.

Does anyone know of this would apply to Flynn?

Rule: The U.S. Constitution prohibits retired military personnel and reservists from receiving pay from foreign governments without Congressional authorization. This can extend to receipt of pay from a U.S. contractor or subcontractor for providing services to a foreign government. In 37 U.S.C. 908, Congress authorizes the Secretary of State and Secretary of the appropriate Military Department to approve such receipt of pay. Each military service has implementing directives. Retired personnel and reservists who violate this Constitutional proscription may forfeit pay equal in amount to their foreign pay.

Just wondering.

When, not if, when we get back in power

The first thing we do is shove single payer health care down the repubs throats and be done with it. Health care is a right. Stop treating it like an industry and there will be more than enough money to pay for actual care. Economically, it is much cheaper to keep people healthy then wait till someone has to call 911 and haul them off in an ambulance.

Sessions then intentionally lies about Russian contacts so he can recuse himself. Sessions gets to be AG. He will have to deal with some fall out but he doesn't have to worry about that whole Russia mess and he can tell Donnie it's not his fault.

Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.) wouldn’t get into the details about what was discussed in the classified meeting, but said many questions remain unanswered.

“It’s hard to comment on these meetings. So much of this whole thing has been handled badly,” he said. “I’m interested to see whether any information comes out about any coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin. I’m hoping at some point we get a final answer on that.”

Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-N.Y.) called the briefing “one of the most substantial” meetings he has ever attended.

My bet is they were briefed on Flynn at that meeting. The reason the repubs are silent now is because they've known for weeks about Flynn and had already made the decision to circle the wagons when the story broke.

Does that fit the known timeline?

Thank you so much for the hearts

Í care for my mom who lives with me and has advanced Alzheimer's. It can get pretty lonely. I found DU right after the terrible, awful thing happened in November and it has been a sanity saver. I enjoy all the wonderful posts and they help me feel connected to the rest of the world. Love my DUers.

So I'm hanging at my favorite pizza/craft beer pub

The bartender asked me if I wanted to get some pizza and I told her the bathroom scale has not been kind recently so I was going to pass. We joked about how those scales lie and I said maybe I have a Republican scale and we laughed and laughed.
