Sorry for being daft... but what is a "skinny bill"?

What's all this talk today about skinny bill?

Say there is 100% undeniable truth that Trump and Russia Colluded to win the election.

Say even Trump himself swears to it under oath that he colluded with Russia to have them unearth Hillary Clinton's emails, air her dirty launder, and in general keep the anti-Hillary scandal rumor mill churning.

Was there actually any laws broken in doing this? For the impeachment, I'm sure such actions would grant him an impeachment... but don't you need to explicitly break an enumerated law to be tried and convicted by the senate (to be removed from office)? Because remember that "impeachment" does not equate to "removal from office"... but merely allows a senate trial to pursue removal from office, if necessary. What specific law is broken by him saying to Russia, "Get dirt on her & her campaign, share it with me, and keep leaking it to the press" ??

Are there specific laws against "collusion"?
Sorry for being dense, but I'm genuinely interested in the minutia/mechanics of the situation at hand.

Well, I cut the cord to my cable TeeVee.

It was a long time coming, but it's just too much $$$. Just 6 months ago it was about $80/mo for TV, phone, and internet. The last 4-6 months it's been nearly $170, and I don't even watch a lot of TV at all. Had to pull the plug so now I just get internet.

Funny thing is when I called to cancel TV they offered even MORE channels and services. Geez, I'm trying to spend LESS money here! haha. Someone told me I should have "negotiated" a lesser price instead but my response to them was that I'd negotiated the shit all the way down to $0. (beat that, ha! ) Who needs to be paying an arm and a leg for all the alarmist crap all over TV anymore nowdays.

ANyways, I was thinking about replacing network cable with one of those HD "free tv" antenna things... will I get good news stations and stuff? Would it be a worthwhile purchase? (I'm in Cleveland Area)

Interesting thought, Should elections be like Sports Playoffs... ie: Best of 3 series?

We've already got something like a series of playoffs in the form of primaries, where each conference/league sends it's winner off to the championship (general election). Why not have a series for the General>?

Mistakes and flukes happen. The sporting world figured it out over a century ago. Should presidential and governor general elections be best of 3 or 5 (or something similar) to determine the winner? This is all hypothetical, of course and a bullshit waste of time. But if the electoral college were ever discarded, I think I'd want to see a series. Just think about it...

The 2020 Tostidos/Fedex/Tropicana General Election

We could get someone snazzy to host it, Lady Gaga could sing at the midpoint, and the commercials would be better.

I predict that when 45 resigns, it will be without prior notice or inclination.

To limit fanfare and minimize the spectacle, I think his resignation will come out of the blue. Heck, he might not even be the one to deliver the message. It might just be stated in a daily presser or a tweet. He's incredibly impulsive.

He'll sign resignation papers in private with Pence, receive a blanket pardon From Pence before anyone has a chance to object, and then the nation will be notified in as brief a manner as possible. It will be nothing like Nixon's resignation.

Scary thought... what if Russia's actions weren't in order to win Trump the Whitehouse?

What if it was all to get PENCE into the Whitehouse?
Trump IS the fall guy.

Think about it...

Everyone, even Russia, knows that Don The Con could never hack it for 4-8 years as President. Even Trump's own primary campaign seemed like his bid for office was a publicity stunt and he was purposefully trying to lose with some of the shit he was spewing. So Russia helps Trump dig up dirt to slay his primary opponents and then slander Hillary. Maybe they suggest to the Trump campaign a running mate in the general election that makes it easier for them to influence the election (...someone like PENCE). Then once Donald is in office, Russia ensures enough details of election tampering and collusion leak to hang Trump out to dry for impeachment... ensuring the person they ACTUALLY want in office gets control of the oval office.

A) Why would Russia want an incompetent buffoon running the government they just stole an election from? A REAL POITICIAN like Pence in your pocket is MUCH more valuable than Trump.

B) Perhaps Pence is the Whitehouse leaker Donnie is whining about. Of everyone in Trumps own administration and the entire GOP... who stands to gain the most from Trump's Impeachment? The Vice President.
