tRump surely has a pack of compliant minders that give him nothing but news that feeds his narrative and his ego. How could he be so shielded from the truth there? If he wasn't shielded, I guarantee you some Puerto Ricans would be flat-out in his face.
This whole pack of miscreants needs to be run out of the White House, then make them all live in the flood-ravaged parts of PR, Texas or Florida.

Humility and openness is the key. I had to learn about myself out of necessity, and I'm a very curious person. Also, because some of the ladies in my life were going through the change, I needed to learn about that, too!
It's enough that we have a percentage of our populace that are born psychopathic or psychotic (or develop these characteristics later in life). But, when we don't even understand our individual physical and mental natures, we shouldn't be surprised when someone in our life acts strangely or even commits a terrible act.
The big problem is lack of education and a lack of desire to learn. If both men and women had even a cursory understanding of the physical and mental nature of themselves and the opposite sex, we would have far fewer problems in society - and we would be far more open and kind to each other. I suspect this basic education should be required in our high schools.
I've learned that human hormonal and mental systems are extremely complex and difficult for us laymen to comprehend. However, I think our medical professionals could simplify those areas and provide us with educational materials the public could understand.
What a scum bag.

It's important we let our members of Congress know what we think of this man's immorality, lack of decorum and hubris.

They will never see the irony in his inaugural's bullshit. We can bet that Faux News and RW talk radio won't go there.
We currently have far too many Americans that stay completely isolated in their bubble of choice.
I fully confess I have no bright ideas on how to change that. 
We men have a thinking problem.
In my experience with myself and a large number of others, most men have a lot of pent-up anger, resentment and fear. When young, we're taught (mostly by association) that men can't show emotion or overt anger, so that we appear in control at all times. That's at the heart of many of our issues. Further, we're expected to be on top of our game and to be leaders (daddy, captain, chief, etc.) at all times.
Sometimes, even for relatively young men, that pent-up stuff erupts and men do horrible acts - simply because they were not man enough to open up and talk through their inadequacies and fears, and they don't want to appear weak or in need. Many simply turn to alcohol or drugs as an escape.
By the time we're 50 or so, we've built-up this god-like ego inside ourselves that is ripe to be burst. Then, the hormones start to drop and sometimes depression begins. To make matters worse, energy and stamina levels drop, making it hard to get things done. Joints and muscles begin to weaken. Testosterone supplements are sometimes suggested, but can be very dangerous to use.
Not saying all this to gain sympathy as a man, as I'm quite familiar with the problems women go through as well. My main point is that as a society, we all need learn to drop our pride and ego and to open up dialog with each other at the very beginning of our issues. That can begin by seeing ourselves as equals.

Reminds me of my "day trips" in the badlands of Wyoming in a rental car on field service job off-days, many years ago. Hardly a sign of humanity in sight other than a gravel road, and dead silence.

Eventually...it will happen, like it not.
What we're doing now - including going to electrics - is not long-term sustainable. We will hit those brick walls.
Let's try to be wise here.
Electric-driven transportation is not the utopia many think it to be. The world needs to focus on expanding and improving mass transportation, primarily rail. Eventually, humans will have to get used to not being able to jump in a private vehicle and go anywhere, anytime, at will.

I suspect that as Republicans dishonestly weasel their way upward into power, there's a steady drip, drip away of any emotions they may have been born with. By the time they make it into Congress they have the emotional qualities of a slab of cast iron.
Anything outside of the individual being is subject to laissez-faire rules.
