Farmergene's JournalCapitulate?
Never!
"Oh! The hypocracy of it! They say unify the country yet want to kick him out several different ways.!" Thats the noise i heard when i got off work and turned on NPR durring their special coverage of the 25th amendment debate.
Let me make it completely clear. Unify does not mean capitulate. Ever. You do the crime, you do the time. Nowhere does it say turn a blind eye to people trampling our constitution, or throwing a temper tantrum because they didn't get their way.
Now everyone knows
Now everyone knows what it's like to suffer stunning defeat! The Democrats in 2016 when that clown in a business suit managed to accidentally win the presidency. Then the Republicans in this train wreck of a year, 2020.
Did we claim "I'd rather be a patriot than a Republican?" Did we threaten armed rebellion? No! Yet I see posts in social media like "I'd rather be a patriot than a Democrat" and similar. For the average citizen there is no more patriotic duty than to vote your conscience.
Take your lumps and move on. That's what we did.
"By repeating his guilt"
I cought just that phrase from an @npr program last night. I'm not even sure which one because I was driving and traffic turned sour, fast. So after my drive I did some searching, and found this article[link:https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/inside-founding-fathers-debate-over-what-constituted-impeachable-offense-180965083/| from the @Smithsonian that tells of the debate over impeachment at the constitutional convention. I feel each and every US citizen should read what George Mason had to say in 1787 on the subject. My favorite part:

Even repeating the false narrative
Even repeating the false narrative about the Bidens to debunk it or explain it's falsehood propagates it. There are those who will selectively hear the dirt part and dismiss the debunk parts as Democrats trying to cover for corruption. I feel this is a double edged sword that cuts us when first told, then again while trying to assert its falsehood.
I'm not sure exactly how to handle that, except to let others explain it's falseness. Or perhaps just refer to it as "that now debunked corruption theory"
Gah! Do they really want us to feel as dirty as we perceive them to be?
Mr. Nunes,
Mr. Nunes are you conspiring with others to obstruct justice? Sure looks that way to me.
They ATTACKED our democracy.
Our way of life. Our most basic principals. Our system of governance.
In my opinion that's an act of war, and Treason does indeed apply.
Our government, and others like us around the world just have not figured out how to deal with Russian meddling in our affairs.
Yet who will declare war when no bullets have been fired? No bombs dropped? No land taken over on? That i think is one question our Government MUST answer.
Yet instead of trying to secure our most basic ideal of "Of the people, by the people, for the people," these Bozos are pushing tax cuts for people that don't deed them, walls to keep out people that are truly oppressed, and caging the children of asylum seekers. All the while protecting the scumbag that continues reaping profits from Russia's incursion into our Presidential election
Close encounter of the 3(g) kind
3(g) - communication with an (un)intelligent alien being.
I'm a heavy equipment operator and recently had to take my machine to the mechanic for some quick repairs.
While waiting, the mechanic made a comment, I'm not exactly sure what it was, but it set me off.
"I'm not a big fan of Donald Trump," i said and this guy hit the roof!
"Why not?, who did you vote for? Not that Bitch hillary?" And it devolved from there. All the Dems were improperly enriched with special interest money. Hillary sold all our Uranium to the Russians and funneled the money thru the Clinton foundation, yada, yada, yada.
I really had to bite my tongue. I have to work with this guy and really want him to fix my equipment when it breaks. So i said something like "I do my own research and it looks like i need to do more"
"I'll tell you where you can get all the facts, watch Fox News. Those guys dont pull any punches and tell it like it really is." I almost gagged. The whole thing reminded me if a Star Trek Next Generation episode "The Game" where everyone is hooked on this mind controlled game that ends up controlling their minds.
Folks do your own research into the issues and think for yourselves.
The Brainwashed masses
I worry though. We are a divided country.
On the one side are the Trump supporters, a zealous lot that has been brainwashed by the "news" Fox (faux?) News. You know what I'm talking about. Hillary and the Uranium "sale" to Russia, and so many other successful misinformation spins.
On the other are folks that just don't buy into the whole misinformation thing.
Oh sure there are lots of people inbetween but my worry is on how to repatriate the brainwashed masses and keep the peace at the same time.
