Researchers Uncover Which Blood Type Is Most Resistant To COVID-19
In a Monday statement, the company said that preliminary results from over 750,000 participants have revealed clues as to why some people experience little to no symptoms from coronavirus, while others become gravely ill, according to Bloomberg.
Perhaps most interesting is that Type-O blood is also associated with a 66% reduction in the odds of developing severe malaria compared to the non-O blood types, according to a 2007 study.
This might explain why anti-malarial drugs have shown efficacy in treating COVID-19
Last week, peer reviewed research which analyzed the genes of more than 1,600 coronavirus patients in Italy and Spain who experienced respiratory failure suggested that blood type may play a role in the severity of the disease. The found that patients with Type-A blood were linked to a 50% increase in the likelihood they would require a ventilator. The results were similar to an earlier Chinese study regarding susceptibility to COVID-19.

The prime minister singled out two nurses in particular for watching over his bedside in intensive care for 48 hours when things could have gone either way Jenny from New Zealand and Luis from Portugal.
Speaking in a video message just hours after leaving St Thomas hospital in south London, the prime minister expressed optimism the UK was making progress in this incredible national battle against coronavirus.

Starting next week, Americans can give IRS direct deposit information to get stimulus check faster
WASHINGTON As soon as next week, Americans will be able to provide the Internal Revenue Service with direct deposit information so they can receive their stimulus checks of up to $1,200, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin told House Democrats in a call Wednesday evening.
Soon after Congress passed the $2 trillion economic stimulus bill last month, the IRS said it was working on an online portal that would allow taxpayers, once verified, to find out the status of their checks and, if necessary, to provide their banking information for direct deposit. Initially, it wasnt expected to be done until the end of April.
