Who can we turn to? Our government has lost the ability to govern. I have no representation.

I live in Florida. My congressman is Greg Steube (R). My Senators are Rick Scott (R) and Marco Rubio (R). I write and call their offices, begging for them to stop with the showmanship and to please start governing for the people again. I have done it on a regular basis. I only get form letter responses acknowledging receipt of my letters, if I received anything at all. I have received 1 acknowledgement from Steube, 3 acknowledgements from Rubio, and no acknowledgements from Scott. You can't even reach Scott's office on the phone yet.

I am fearful of continuing to contact their offices as the way things are, they may press charges of harassment against me for contacting them. Is anyone getting any responses from their elected representatives? I used to get replies and position statements from Bill Nelson when he was in office. I don't know if it's because I'm a registered (D) that they just don't bother or what.

I've complained to the local papers, but they don't seem to care that our reps aren't responsive. Is this all we're supposed to do is vote every 2 years? It didn't used to be like this.

Do any of you have a responsive representative I can write to that might bring the issue to light that Republican reps are ignoring their constituents?

With everyone running for President, are we going to have anyone to run to take over Senate?

It looks like we might be giving up a ton of Senate seats.... Maybe the powers that be might want to consider thinning the herd early to have some decent Senate candidates.

CNN.com... Smollett 4, Hasson 0, Epstein/Acosta 0...

And the beat goes on...

Don't know why I didn't catch this, but domestic terrorist Lt. Hasson was arrested last Friday?

Sure took a while to go public with it. I guess they kept it quiet to investigate if there were more involved. Since it is public now, and it happened 5 days ago, it should surely be enough time for DHS or DOJ to make a statement on this domestic terrorist. Why the silence? Why isn't msm digging?

tRump has tweet on Smollet, crickets on domestic terrorist Lt. Hasson...

Still no statement on white nationalist sleeper cell in US Coast Guard? How can a person rise to the rank of Lieutenant without this behavior being noticed?

Media ignoring record corporate profits and zero income taxes with rebates???

Has anyone seen many news stories of the effects of the Republican tax cuts and companies record profits and paying zero income taxes now? I saw an article a couple days ago about NetFlix and posted a thread, and today I posted a thread about Amazon and it was taken down and locked because it was "old" news, although I had never seen anything about it.

It seems to me our media should be pounding it home that the Republican tax plan is a complete disaster. If there is a national emergency it is that the federal treasury is being raided by corporate entities who are contributing nothing and taking millions from taxpaying American workers?

Why are there not endless stories on these record profits and zero corporate taxes?

How's that Republican tax cut working for you? No wonder we can't have nice things...

How broken is our government, can it be fixed? Placeholders for Lobbyists?

I'd hate to take this needed money away from these homeless people. I know how much it means to them, but it it so sleazy to know these rich bastards can't even stand in line to do their job. Can't even stand in a frigging line and they make hundreds of thousands a year, and can't even stand on their own feet.
