WP Morning Mix: Trump says Biden 'deserted' Pennsylvania. In Scranton, he's a 'hometown boy.'
Big mistake on Trump's part - he is running scared and, at the same time, elevating Biden. Based on the Washington Post's comments section, Trump's idiotic remark is definitely backfiring...

Disqualifying: Bernie thinks Senator Inhofe (R) a climate-change denier is a decent guy and a friend
Edit:
Let me note that my reason for posting this is to point out the irony in the numerous threads and posts (from non-Biden supporters) that relentlessly criticize him for having Republican friends and for desiring to work along with the other side - for Joe daring to give a speech about unity and not being angry.
I refer to a thread posted several days ago that read:
Disqualifying: Biden gave paid speech supporting Repuke in 2018
I am showing, through irony, how foolish it is to blast a politician for being amicable toward a colleague that might have differing views. Like Joe and Bernie, elected officials should be able to befriend Republicans and find common ground to work together, without being pummeled for doing so.
I hope that, after my explanation, the point that I am trying to drive home does not escape anybody...

Jim is a climate-change denier. He is really, really conservative, but you know what, he is a decent guy and I like him, and he and I are friends, Sanders told CNNs Jake Tapper.
The above quote is found in parapgraph #10, in the article...

Bernie's mystery Soviet tapes revealed (by Politico)
Over the course of 10 days, Sanders, who was then the mayor of Burlington, and his dozen-member delegation traveled to three cities: Moscow, Yaroslavl and Leningrad, now known as St. Petersburg.
Their goal was to establish a sister city relationship with Yaroslavl, a community along the Volga River home to about 500,000 people. At the time, the Soviet Union was beginning to open itself to the world, if only slightly and Sanders was a self-described socialist with an unusually large interest in foreign affairs for a mayor.

Under Obama, mass incarceration has decreased for the first time in nearly 50 years
Thank you, President Obama and Vice-President Biden!
This is action and results - not just talk. When Biden assumes office, he will continue what was started...

"Biden's Wild N.H. Meet-and-Greet" - Who says Biden doesn't excite people???

He surely excites me, too!
Heidi Heitkamp: Democrats, don't ditch the ACA for Medicare-for-all
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/heidi-heitkamp-democrats-dont-ditch-the-aca-for-medicare-for-all/2019/05/08/b77780cc-71a9-11e9-9f06-5fc2ee80027a_story.html?utm_term=.b728df938431Heidi is basically saying that the Democrats should put the Republican party on the defense as to what they have to offer by way of a replacement for the ACA, since they have asked the Courts to eliminate the ACA completely (including protection for pre-existing conditions).
Putting forth the MFA puts the Democrats on the defensive and gives the Republicans an opportunity to attack it without being forced to offer their own solutions for replacing the heath care that they are determined to take away from us.
Quick question - did Trump tweet, in response to Joe referring to him as a clown, as yet?
I'm not sure if I just missed it...

Former Vice President Joe Biden on Wednesday jokingly addressed the barrage of Twitter attacks President Trump aimed at him earlier in the day.
"I understand the president has been tweeting about me this morning, Biden said at a campaign event in Iowa, followed by a laugh. I wonder why in the hell hes doing that."
