Police in Minneapolis say a man known as "Umbrella Man", seen damaging property in the city during the Black Lives Matter protests, has links to white supremacy groups.
People took to the city's streets following the death there in May of George Floyd, an unarmed black man.
Police say Umbrella Man helped turn the largely peaceful protests violent.
Footage of the man wearing a mask and carrying an umbrella while smashing shop windows went viral online.
In the video, taken on 27 May, Umbrella Man can be seen breaking the windows with a hammer as people approach him trying to get him to stop. He then walks away from the scene.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accuses Texas Republican of joining in on harassment
Williams says he didn't hear the exchange, which was overheard and reported on by a reporter from The Hill. But Ocasio-Cortez said on Twitter that Williams is merely pretending not to have heard it and that he actually joined in the argument, yelling at her about "throwing urine." During the argument, another Republican member of congress called Ocasio-Cortez a "fucking bitch," The Hill reported.
"Gotta love Republican courage from Rep @RogerWilliamsTX: when he undeniably sees another man engaged in virulent harassment of a young woman, just pretend you never saw it in the most cartoonish manner possible and keep pushing," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

2016 House Ethics Review
On May 3, 2016, the House Ethics Committee initiated an investigation into Williams after he inserted a provision into a $300 billion transportation funding bill called the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act that exempted some car dealerships like his own from a proposal to prevent rental car companies from renting out vehicles that were subject to safety recalls. The legislation was spurred by the deaths of Raechel and Jacqueline Houck, ages 24 and 20. The two sisters were killed in 2004 while driving a rented, recalled vehicle that caught fire and crashed head-on into a semi. The investigation's focus was a provision Williams authored in the bill that would have exempted dealerships like his own and allowed renting vehicles under active safety recall. The independent nonpartisan Office of Congressional Ethics found that Williams violated House ethics rules, noting that Williams refused to cooperate; by unanimous, bipartisan vote the OCE found that there is substantial reason to believe that Rep. Williams personal financial interest in his auto dealership may be perceived as having influenced his performance of official duties namely, his decision to offer an amendment to the surface transportation legislation. The House Ethics committee determined that the amendment "could have affected Representative Williams personal financial interests", but decided to end the investigation and took no further action.
COVID-19 Paycheck Protection Program Controversy
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dallas Morning News reported that Roger Williams Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership in Weatherford, Texas received an unspecified amount in federally backed small business loans as part of the Paycheck Protection Program. Williams' office acknowledged that he had accepted forgivable taxpayer-funded loans through the Paycheck Protection Program a few days later but would not disclose the amount. In Texas the Killeen Daily Herald, Austin American-Statesman, and Fort Worth Star-Telegram published stories on the incident, with national news outlets reporting as well.
The move prompted Rep. Katie Porter to introduce legislation that would require all loans under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to be made public and stated "If youre a multimillionaire taking taxpayer money in the middle of the biggest unemployment since the Great Depression, get ready to explain that decision to the American people." Washington Post highlighted March 2020 comments from Williams in Epoch Times, where he stated "A socialist wants you to get a check from the government... a capitalist wants you to get a check from the place that you work."
Rep. Williams then drew further public scrutiny for voting against the TRUTH Act (H.R. 6782), a bipartisan bill which would have required public disclosure of companies that received funds through the bailout program.

Jeffrey Epstein Accuser: When Donald Trump Eyed Me, Epstein Remarked Shes Not for You
by JERRY LAMBE
Law & Crime.org, Aug. 26th, 2019, 1:29 pm 305
In a harrowing report from the New York Times on Monday, sisters Maria Farmer and Annie Farmer divulged details of the earliest known reports to authorities of Jeffrey Epsteins illicit sexual contact with young women and young girls. They accused both Epstein and his alleged madam Ghislaine Maxwell of sexually assaulting them as early as 1996, a year before actress and model Alicia Arden filed a police report claiming that Epstein groped her.
Recounting one of her first memories of life in Epsteins orbit, Maria Farmer said she remembered one particular interaction between Epstein and President Donald Trump, during which Epstein appeared to shoot down the future president of the United States after he allegedly ogled the 25-year-old Farmer.
Farmer was an artist who moved to New York City in 1993 to pursue a career in the arts. She said she was introduced to Epstein and Maxwell after graduating from the New York Academy of Art, both of whom took an immediate interest in the young woman. Epstein quickly offered her a position acquisitioning art and managing his townhouse entrance, which meant she frequently found herself in the palatial estate.
Farmer was in Epsteins office when she first met Donald Trump. According to the report, Trump was eyeing Farmer when Epstein jumped in, telling Trump shes not for you. The Times said Farmers mother, Janice Swain, vouched for the account of the Trump-Epstein interaction, saying her daughter detailed it to her around the time it happened.
Trump obeyed Epstein, which shows who was Boss.
"I've known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side."
A prominent Epstein victim, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, says his ex-girlfriend and alleged "madam," Ghislaine Maxwell, recruited her into Epstein's sex trafficking operation when she worked as a locker room attendant at Mar-a-Lago in 1999, when she was 15.
When asked if Trump thought Ghislaine might implicate some of the 'powerful men' who formed part of Epsteins jet set social circle, Trump replied I dont know I havent really been following it too much.
