Everyman Jackal
Everyman Jackal's JournalHow many homeless people want to stay homeless.
I was homeless for 2 years traveling around the country and ending up in San Francisco. I had coffee and a donut for breakfast at the Good Hope Church, lunch at Saint Anthony Dining room and supper at whatever church was feeding the poor that night. In good weather, I slept in Union Square downtown and in inclement weather I pitched my tent in Golden Gate Park. After 2 years I wanted to get back into a different lifestyle. Social services gave me enough money to get a room and food stamps. I got a job delivering advertising door to door and then a truck driver for the company and finally did the payroll and became the treasurer of the corporation just because they needed a treasurer to incorporate. What I am trying to get across is not all homeless people want to stop being homeless. Some for mental reasons and some for who knows what. I have not been able to find the percentage of homeless that want to be homeless. Help those that want it and leave the others alone.
Without prejudice means they can try to do it again.
With prejudice means you cannot try to do it again. I was sued by my neighbor and the judge dismissed the case. I asked him to add with prejudice and he did so my neighbor could not sue me again.
Corporations don't pay taxes.
Their taxes are actually paid by people who buy their products. A simplified answer.
Where I live all women wear full length dresses
and all men wear suits when going to church. I got my first suit when I was 6 years old. Whenever we went to a restaurant or to the symphony I wore a suit. Now I wear a t-shirt and jeans to a restaurant but still wear a suit to the symphony.
By making every public college and university free
does he mean that the federal government will pick up the cost of going to a state college or university?
His DD 214 is not sealed.
A DD-214 gives very limited knowledge about what you did in the military. My DD 214 shows that I studied Russian at the Defense Language Institute but it does not show what schooling I had at Fort Meade. I can't tell you what I studied at Fort Meade or for what government department but if you look at what units and government buildings are at Fort Meade it is pretty easy to tell. A person's records can be flagged mine was flagged on October 8, 1964, and is still flagged. Subject: Restriction of Assignment and Travel of Personnel Having Access to Special Intelligence. Basically, which I already knew before enlisting I could not be deployed to Vietnam or any war zone.
Both the PRC and Taiwan agree that Taiwan is not an independent country.
They both say that there is only one China. The thing they do not agree on is which government is the legitimate one.
I know he is not taking into account poor people who have to work, but
there are many people who have jobs and careers who will gladly work into their 70s and 80s and can do so because we are living healthier. Okay, remember I have dementia so it is hard for me to use the right words. Poor people can work longer at lousy jobs that help their family. My mother worked full time from the age of 14 in 1923 until she died of cancer at 58 except for a few years to raise my sister and me. In doing so she put her brother through college and kept her family together. Her sacrifice to give up college herself and a better life for herself helping the next generations.
They think it will get them laid.
