I'm not so sure anymore.
Eh-Lean Cannon is doing everything in her power to delay her trial, and by keeping her trial date on the schedule is hampering Fani Willis from scheduling her trial.
Yeah I know the J6/Jack Smith trial is scheduled on March 4th which is the day before Super Tuesday. Trump is getting all he can out of running for president, he will be the nominee. When it gets closer to March 4th Trump will certainly claim election interference and his fascist Supreme Court may agree with him.
I am in need of some positive news about Trump being held accountable. How many months and counting?
Yeah I also know GOTV to save our democracy. We will need to overcome a lot of obstacles, when Marc Elias is worried, it should worry all of us. Univision, X, CNN, have all moved hard right. We need to overperform to beat the Magats. We can do it, we must do it.
January 16 The Day After The Iowa Caucuses
That is the date for the 2nd E. Jean Carroll, Trump defamation lawsuit.

Safe Districts In New York
Maybe we should start worrying about winning back the 4 seats that Magats won this past election in districts that President Biden carried?
Maybe we need to do a better job of exposing frauds like Anthony Devolder?
We don't need to attack Democratic House members who actually won their elections. We don't need to be divided, there is no really good answer to the Israel/Hamas war.
Senate Democrats Pass Resolution To Bypass Tooberville
Senate Democrats on the rules committee voted to temporarily bypass Tooberville's hold on military promotions. Not one Senate Magat on the rules committee voted for the resolution.
Democrats want to vote for the promotions en masse, but that requires 60 votes.
My suggestion: if Democrats can't get the 60 votes then make Magats actually filibuster the vote. Let them stand up and publicly state why they are endangering our national security.
Make them filibuster.
Trump's Strategy To Not Be Held Accountable Is Fear
I had a taste of what Trump is doing many years ago when I was on borough council protecting our watershed from powerful people.
I got death threats and a "goon squad" sat right behind my chair at every council meeting. I had many sleepless nights, I had a taste.
Trump's strategy worked with Alvin Bragg. Pomerantz/Dunne were ready to indict Trump for criminal financial fraud when Bragg shit canned 2 years of investigation.
Trump's strategy has worked on the IRS, with all of Trump's financial fraud, the IRS is afraid to go after him.
There are many bright brave people taking Trump on.
E. Jean Carroll has fought Trump for 5 years and her 2nd trial is upcoming, postponed because of Merrick Garland.
Letitia James is nailing Trump where it hurts him the most, his reputation as a successful businessman.
Fani Willis began investigating Trump on March of 2021, she went after Trump without hesitation.
Jack Smith has worked to get Trump to trial before the election. It appears that the J6 trial has the best, maybe only chance to make it.
Back to Trump's strategy; he has been treated with kid gloves. He has threatened prosecutors, judges, witnesses, potential jurors. Prosecutors and judges, James and Willis, need police protection every damn day because of Trump's threats. Trump's use of fear was why Magat Senators failed to convict Trump in his impeachment trial. Mitt Romney, because he voted to convict Trump has hired 24 hour security.
Trump is so arrogant that his lawyers are doubling down on his threats in the civil fraud trial. His lawyers are about to file a motion to dismiss the case because of the very limited gag order. Trump's lawyers are claiming Trump's 1st Amendment rights to threaten the judge, clerk, DA, prosecutors are being violated. Everyone who takes Trump on has to have police protection, Fani Willis bought her prosecutors bullet proof vests.
Fear must not win out. There must be more E. Jean Carrolls, Letitia James, Fani Willis, Jack Smiths than there are Alvin Braggs.
Taking on Trump is scary. I had but a small taste.
No More Rate Hikes Jerome
The stock market is soaring with the latest CPI inflation report. I guess the market assumes that Powell will be done with interest hikes, I'm not so sure, that's not what he said in his speech.
The main driver of inflation now is housing costs so that is no reason for Powell to raise rates.
We do not need any more slow downs in GDP growth from Powell.
Is Magat Mike About To Put A Spending Bill On The Floor
Magat Mike may put a stopgap funding bill up for a vote, it will need a 2/3 majority to pass. Magat Mike broke up the departments funding, some to be funded until Jan. 19th, some until Feb. 2nd.
There is no funding for Ukraine, Israel, or the border fence.
Democrats have shown interest but have not given their support yet.
What do you think? I don't know, I don't like breaking up the departments, it could be a foot in the door to defund certain departments.

Let's Be Clear About Project 2025
This has been going on for some time now, mainly backed by the Heritage Foundation but many other oligarchs and organizations.
Prior to the 1880's people could be given government jobs based on what political party they belonged to. Jobs were doled out by the leaders of the incumbent party. Grrover Cleveland initiated Civil Service jobs that eliminated this cronyism, Donald Trump with the help of Project 2025 wants to bring cronyism back.
Trump doesn't just want to put his cronies in place at the head of government departments, there are plans to install 54,000 Trump-loving government workers. Project 2025 has hired Oracle to go through prospective employees' social media to determine people who are loyal to Trump and eliminate people who are not to fill these positions.
This is real. This is going on right now. If Trump wins the next election there will not be any more elections.
Remember what Trump wanted the military to do: shoot civilians on the streets, seize voting machines.
We need to vote the fascists out and keep voting them out.
Magat Mike Johnson Has An Ethics Problem
The guy who is in charge of our nation's finances claims he doesn't have a checking or savings account.
A citizen's group, "End Citizens United," has filed an ethics complaint against Magat Mike which could also involve crimes.
Magat Mike failed to disclose his wife's income from her giving "Christian" online advice to the good people of northern Louisiana.
Magat Mike also failed to disclose trips he took that were paid for by groups exceeding the allowable limit.
The man who is about to decide how our nation spends its money has a financial disclosure statement that is laughable.

Use The Word Dictator
I heard the suggestion and totally agree with it, words matter.
Many people do not understand the word authoritarian. When we say Trump wants to be an authoritarian leader, people don't get it.

Trump has been channeling Hitler in his speeches, he is telling us who he is.
