Recall Question - Why Don't Democrats launch recall efforts in every state with an R Governor?

If this is the 6th recall attempt against Newsom by the rethugs,
maybe it's time for Dem's to start going medieval on their asses and start recall attempts in the 18 other States which allow recalls
(assuming those states have R governors - I don't have a list of affected states handy)

Other than time and resources, what's to lose? Maybe Dems might gain a governor or two who could then appoint more D senators when the opportunity arises, making Dino Joe (Manchin) irrelevant.

Unless there's something I'm missing.

Singh blasts Trudeau for copying BC NDP's idea of calling a snap election in middle of a pandemic

From The Beaverton - Canadian satire

TORONTO – NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh has criticized Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for stealing his party’s idea to call a snap election in the middle of a global pandemic.

“This needless power grab is exactly what the provincial wing of my party did 10 months ago,” said Singh.

Singh also pointed to how much more of a risk the NDP took since a vaccine was not widely available at the time.

Just found this meme re: Canadian election candidates

Just a caveat- before I get the hate mail from the NDP vs Trudeau crowd:

Strategic voting entails voting for the progressive candidate most likely to defeat the conservatives in a particular riding.

If Liberals are ahead of the NDP in a particular riding, then it makes sense to vote Liberal as the best bet to prevent the CONS from winning, and so as not to waste your vote on a party that has no chance of winning in that riding

On the flip side, if the NDP were ahead in a particular riding, then it would make sense to vote NDP for that same reason.

So this meme is somewhat of an oversimplification, but then again Liberals are way ahead of NDP in overall voter intention polls and projected seat counts. And I still think it's important to look at the candidate in your riding to see who has the best chance:

Jody Wilson Raybould has a tantrum over Trudeau's rejecting her nomination of a conservative judge

Raybould's pick Justice "Joyal had previously criticized the judiciary for having interpreted charter rights "broadly"...
Those interpretations have helped to enshrine rights such as a woman’s right to choose to have an abortion as well as the legalization of same-sex marriage — both issues on which Trudeau has focused closely"

Trudeau rejected her pick, and now, just in time for the Canadian election, this former liberal-in-name-only decides to announce her "memoirs" containing nothing but unsubstantiated allegations and opinions slandering our PM.

Question for DU'ers: Texas - Are Public Transit Drivers now liable under new GQP "laws"?

What about public transit drivers in Texas who must operate on a fixed route?

Would they be liable to lawsuits under Gauleiter Greg's SB8 which threatens to punish drivers for getting people where they need to go?

What is the GQP going to do there - sue transit drivers and shut down bus routes?

I'm guessing not - because every bus stop/ rail station is meant to be used by the general public with multiple boardings & alightings happening at once - but with the GQP who knows?
