NYT: Trump was never invited to throw out the first pitch at Yankee stadium and was jealous of Fauci

WASHINGTON — An hour before Dr. Anthony S. Fauci threw the first pitch at the season opener between the New York Yankees and the Washington Nationals, President Trump stood on the briefing room stage at the White House and declared that he, too, had been invited to throw out his own opening pitch.

“Randy Levine is a great friend of mine from the Yankees,” Mr. Trump, referring to the president of the baseball team, told reporters on Thursday as Dr. Fauci was preparing to take the mound. “And he asked me to throw out the first pitch, and I think I’m doing that on Aug. 15 at Yankee Stadium.”

There was one problem: Mr. Trump had not actually been invited on that day by the Yankees, according to one person with knowledge of Mr. Trump’s schedule. His announcement surprised both Yankees officials and the White House staff.

But Mr. Trump had been so annoyed by Dr. Fauci’s turn in the limelight, an official familiar with his reaction said, that he had directed his aides to call Yankees officials and make good on a longtime standing offer from Mr. Levine to throw out an opening pitch. No date was ever finalized.

Trump claims trending twitter topics which are about him are "illegal"

President Donald Trump complained on Twitter Monday about Twitter trending topics.

Yes, Twitter trending topics.

It’s unclear what trends set off the president in particular, but he tweeted, “So disgusting to watch Twitter’s so-called ‘Trending’, where sooo many trends are about me, and never a good one.”

<...>

“They look for anything they can find, make it as bad as possible, and blow it up, trying to make it trend,” Trump added.

He even went so far as to actually claim that what’s happening is “illegal.”

We just hit 150,000 COVID-19 deaths according to worldometer

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

4 people died in Benghazi and Republicans had hearings for the next 4 years. That's 1 year for every person who died in the attack.

Dems should have coronavirus hearings for the next decade at a minimum.

Also, we need criminal investigations and prosecutions.

These people need to see the inside of jail cells for what they've done to the American people.

The White House inadvertently reveals the fact Trump doesn't give a shit about national security

Shouldn't the President of the United States be meeting with his National Security Adviser almost every fucking day?

WAHINGTON, July 27 (Reuters) - U.S. national security adviser Robert O'Brien has become the highest ranking official in President Donald Trump's inner circle to test positive for the coronavirus.

Announcing the infection on Monday, the White House said in a statement there was no risk of exposure to Trump or Vice President Mike Pence.

The announcement caught some White House staff off guard, as there had not been an internal memo about it, one source said. Because of the regular testing regimen, White House officials do not reliably wear masks while working in the West Wing.

An administration official said O'Brien had not had contact with the president in several days. The National Security Council did not immediately respond to questions about O'Brien, who was working from home.

Trump's days consist of eating buckets of KFC while downing diet coke and watching Fox News.

This guy is the laziest president in history.

Trump's national security adviser tests positive for Covid-19

Source: CNN

President Donald Trump's national security adviser, Robert O'Brien, has tested positive for Covid-19, according to an official familiar with what happened.

O'Brien's diagnosis marks the highest-ranking Trump administration official known to have tested positive. It's unclear when O'Brien last met with Trump. Their last public appearance together was over two weeks ago during a visit to US Southern Command in Miami on July 10.

O'Brien, one of Trump's top aides, recently returned from Europe, where he and his top deputy met with officials from the UK, France, Germany and Italy.

A senior administration official told CNN that O'Brien has been working from home since last week.

Trump's law and order re-election campaign strategy doesn't make much sense

"Vote to re-elect me and I will end the chaos currently gripping our nation. Don't vote for the guy who was Vice President 4 years ago when the country was much more stable and peaceful prior to me taking office."

Another Impeachable Offense: Trump Admin Used COVID-19 Loan Program to Bully Planned Parenthood

House Democrats are investigating whether a small business loan program was abused by the Trump administration to bully and lie to Planned Parenthood while rewarding supporters of the White House and Republican Party.

<...>

The inquiry is styled as a demand for documents which, the two New York City-based Democrats contend, suggest the Small Business Administration (SBA) attempted “to target local Planned Parenthood organizations” over their participation in the $659 billion Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

According to Maloney and Velázquez, several local Planned Parenthood affiliates were told they need not apply—apparently in contradiction of the law.

“In May, SBA sent letters to numerous local Planned Parenthood organizations inaccurately informing them that they were ineligible for loans under the program due to their association with Planned Parenthood Federation of America,” said a letter released Thursday which detailed the document demands.

Trump's Use of Unidentified Federal Officers to Suppress Protests Is Backfiring

Washington, DC — Voters in three key battleground states are closely following and by a significant majority oppose Donald Trump’s recent use of unidentified federal agents to suppress protests, according to new polling conducted by Public Policy Polling and released today by MoveOn Political Action.

The polls, fielded among registered voters in Arizona (816), Maine (561), and North Carolina (939) between July 21 and 23, show majorities in each state oppose the Trump administration’s actions.

<...>

“These results show that Trump’s plan to use unidentified federal agents to suppress local protests is backfiring with the public. Voters oppose it, and they want their senators to act,” said Rahna Epting, MoveOn Political Action’s executive director. “Continued enabling of Trump by Senators McSally, Collins, and Tillis is likely to hurt them at the ballot box. In this case, their political interests are aligned with the public interest, and they should do the right thing and join efforts in Congress to limit these abuses. When are they going to stand up to Trump’s continued abuses of power? Voters have had enough.”
