The Speedy Trial Act of Florida, Explained.

(a) Speedy Trial without Demand. Except as otherwise provided by this rule, and subject to the limitations imposed under subdivisions (e) and (f), every person charged with a crime shall be brought to trial within 90 days of arrest if the crime charged is a misdemeanor, or within 175 days of arrest if the crime charged is a felony. If trial is not commenced within these time periods, the defendant shall be entitled to the appropriate remedy as set forth in subdivision (p). The time periods established by this subdivision shall commence when the person is taken into custody as defined under subdivision (d). A person charged with a crime is entitled to the benefits of this rule whether the person is in custody in a jail or correctional institution of this state or a political subdivision thereof or is at liberty on bail or recognizance or other pretrial release condition. This subdivision shall cease to apply whenever a person files a valid demand for speedy trial under subdivision (b).

It’s complicated, might need a criminal lawyer!

Edit: Mirrors Federal Act, either is good!

The social media theatre of the absurd is mocked in Courts of Law, Truth already has its pants on.

There is no need to catch up, it’s now the other way around…where Lies are laid bare, pants are prohibited!

It’s no lie to state the sole function of a criminal court trial is is to unearth only one thing…Truth. …jury are the masters of the Truth, the Jurist the Master of the Law. Isn’t it a magnificent system? The struggle to find the truth results from the conflict between prosecution and defence. It’s a system well honed by time and precedent.

A criminal trial is so much unlike a Twitter…this is all going to both educate and shock folks of the MAGA variety out of their trance, and others out of Twitter level knowledge of the rule of law…it’s already happening.

The Defendant didn’t get a dozen competitions for nomination because he’s omnipotent. On the contrary. That’s one man’s sad fantasy…The Emperor of Tweets and Terrorism has lost his pants! The Law eats fantasies and defendants with no pants on lunch break.

The J6 Committee was like a dress rehearsal where the stage had not yet been set…now the stage belongs to the Rule of Law, directed act by act by a professional of the highest calibre. Even a biased jurist is defenceless when the currency of law, Evidence, is overwhelming and the Procedure set in only slightly pliable stone.

In Law I Trust. Is there really any other choice in a functioning democracy?

CNN: Trumps Seditious Army convicted of Seditious Conspiracy...pull the damn plug!??

Hitler unavailable?

“When you show that you are an insurrectionist, that you’re a liar, that you’re a bigot, that you’re racist, that you’re sexist, that you’re twice-impeached, that you are currently a criminal defendant and likely to be a criminal defendant in two other jurisdictions,” she continued, before pausing to include that Trump “grab[s] women by their genitals,” then exclaiming, “I know everything I need to know about you.”

Hostin added, “To put a button on it, I don’t think that you give that type of person a platform. You don’t do that. And I’m actually dismayed that CNN on May 10 at 8 o’clock is going to be giving — I just did a commercial for them — I can’t believe that they are giving him this platform. He is one of the most destructive and divisive people.”

Why Did President Biden NOT invoke The Insurrection Act after his inauguration?

Invoking the Insurrection Act temporarily suspends the Posse Comitatus rule and allows the president to deploy the military to assist civilian authorities with law enforcement. That might involve soldiers doing anything from enforcing a federal court order to suppressing an uprising against the government. Of course, not every domestic use of the military involves law enforcement activity.

Other laws, such as the Stafford Act, allow the military to be used to respond to natural disasters, public health crises, and other similar events without waiving the restrictions of the Posse Comitatus Act.

Upon hindsight the Republican chorus of condemnation of insurrection and insurrectionists that lasted for a month after the Republican Party led coup attempt wasn’t out of genuine shock or horror, it was out of a desire that The Insurrection Act not be used to quickly ferret out the treason..

Then the treasonous liars did a complete 360 when that didn’t happen…and the long drawn out process of major criminal investigations x1001 dragged out…and is still dragging despite the impressive DOJ roadkill numbers of all the useful J6 human bots.

…so began the long long process of standard criminal investigation, prosecution, sentencing of ALL the insurrectionists, big and small, idiots and evil geniuses… their planners, their inside job politicians and hatchet men, Kraken counsel, Ted Cruz?! Years and counting. All the while impeded by those that did the 360.

Trudeau did it, did it legally, and did it to rid the national capital of a gaggle of truckers and Justin time.

Hardly compares though. Suppressing a national insurrection, truckers?

Hesitated…now its insurrection part 2.

Chart: China Remerges as Biggest Trading Partner of U.S.

At the height of the trade war, the country had slipped from the U.S.' top 1 to top 3 trading partner. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, imports from plus exports to China were down from $660 billion in 2018 to just $560 billion in 2019. That number kept almost steady in 2020, while trade with Mexico and Canada decreased significantly in the light of the coronavirus pandemic.

Exports to China stood at approximately $125 billion in 2020, up from around $87 billion in 2019. The bigger share are imports, however. In 2020 goods worth $435 billion entered the country from China, compared with $452 billion in 2019.

China and US are Polar Opposites on Gun Control

Last week, a 47-year-old man stormed into a law firm in China’s Wuhan city and shot dead a lawyer who he had “some disputes with,” according to Chinese state media. He then stuffed his gun, just under 20 inches (50 centimeters) long, into a tennis racket bag and left.

The fatal shooting shocked many in China, which has some of the world’s strictest gun control laws – so much so, that some people thought initial reports were about yet another American shooting.

“When my friend told me about the shooting, I thought it was the United States,” one person wrote on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. Another user wrote, “Using a gun to kill people in China? Am I watching an American movie?”

That disbelief widely reflects how rare gun crime is in China – in contrast to it being a daily reality in the US.

If folks would look objectively at things there are lessons to be learned from most places where humans live.

Defamation payouts by Media should not permitted as a tax deduction.

Not sure if medical corporations get taxpayer subsidized medical gross negligence payouts, for such things removing the wrong lung….but where is the public welfare purpose??

Isn’t the tax code designed to encourage certain activity and discourage others, all in the public for the public and general interest? How is encouraging defamation by a media company in the public interest?

Where is the Bill in Congress?? Seems ripe for debate at least.
