We have a group called Valley Voices United for Change. We meet once a month to discuss issues we are passionate about and/or come up with strategies on how to fight back and make a positive change. We've done some protests, we staged a mock funeral, we do letter writing campaigns, etc. One thing we did last year was we collected post cards on which we asked people (friends, relatives, anyone who wanted to) to write three concerns they had with this administration, and they were hand delivered to Rob Portman's office. The number of cards we had filled up a huge bag. We're kind of loosely organized and mostly work at the grassroots level. They have never asked me for money. I've never been involved in anything political in my life, but this past election has motivated me to try and do SOMETHING. I know lots of others who are the same. Maybe you could start a loosely formed grassroots level group yourself?
