Seeing that 17 were dead and 14 wounded in the space of four minutes (something that rarely happens-- even in the inner city), I imagine I'd be pretty damn proud.

Quite often. After any local homicide, family, friends and wounded are often interviewed on the local affiliates discussing the trauma.
