The enormous political capital they will spend.
The understanding of how long it will take to play out.
And there is zero argument that Pence would be worse. It doesnt and shouldnt register in any of this.
Honeymoon my ass. This also avoids any possible implications with Pence. While he might come out better, he would come out like Cheneys best friend after a hunting trip. Seriously dinged wing.
