Trump is not a competent negotiator. He is known to the public as a rich man CEO, but the reality is that he inherited his wealth, and has squandered a good portion of it away. He is more image than substance in that he tries to manage impressions rather than actually discuss any substantive issues. Anyone who has been paying attention to him for any time. His signature work, "The Art of the Deal" was written by another person who spent time with Trump and has, as of 2015-2016 been repeating how Trump really did not know anything about negotiating.

A piece of advice that you mentioned: Do take time to control your emotions. When you write in anger or fear, or whatever, the message comes out disjointed and there are definitely those on the site who will peg you as a right winger, as they tend to write in poor grammar and syntax.
